WHAT ARE YOU LIVING FOR?

Power, Fame, and Fortune, these are what most people want in life, and for some people just to survive another day. Many get up in the morning just to seek Power, Fame and Fortune. The devil has so deceived them, that they think they don’t have time to pray, and have a little devotions to help them through the day. It reminds me of this true Poem:

I got up early one morning

and rushed right into the day.

I had so much to accomplish,

I didn’t have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me,

and heavier grew each task.

I wonder why God didn’t help me.

He said, “my child you didn’t ask”.

I got up early this morning,

and paused before entering the day.

 I have so much to accomplish

that I have to take time to Pray.

“By humility and the fear of the Lord
 are riches, and honour, and life.” (Proverbs 22:4).

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”(Joshua 1:8). In other words if you want the Lord to bless you with good success, then dive into his word day and night.

“How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?”(John 5:44).

PLEASE SAY THIS PRAYER TO BE SAVED:

Dear Jesus, I want to know you and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I believe you are the Only Begotten Son of God, and you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Savior. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

MIRACLES

We live in the Fifth Dimension a very nice place to be, in The Land of Miracles, and we live the Life of Miracles. Every day we ask Jesus to do Miracles and he does. He never fails. “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37). Jesus did many miracles proving he was The Son of God, The Christ, The Messiah. He gave sight to the blind. Jesus Healed all that came unto him. So, what does “He healed them all” really mean? It means literally that no sick or disabled person remained unhealed that came to him wanting to be healed. He fed the multitudes with a few fishes and loaves of bread. Jesus Christ our Savior even raised the dead. Jesus spoke; “Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.” (John 11:40b-44). Jesus Christ even rose from the dead after he was crucified for our sins 3 days later like he said he would. Lord help us to write these miracles down that he does for us, like they did in the Bible, lest we forget. How Many miracles in our life’s and in the lives of others whom we pray for. Have faith for Miracles. Look for them. The Gospels in the New Testament record 42 miracles Jesus performed during His short time of ministry. However He performed many more. The apostle John writes, Jesus did many more things. “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.(John 21:25). Get more faith by getting into The Word. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17). What miracles will he do today? “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” (Matthew 13:58). Jesus said; “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22).

Amen.

BE STILL

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalms 46:10).

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.”(Exodus 14:13).

“And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you.”(Numbers 9:8).

“And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan.”(Joshua 3:8).

“Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall:” (Ruth 3:18a).

“but stand thou still a while, that I may shew thee the word of God.”(1 Samuel 9:27b).

“So Joab blew a trumpet, and all the people stood still, and pursued after Israel no more, neither fought they any more.”(2 Samuel 2:28).

“And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: and after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.”(1 Kings 19:11-12).

“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.”(2 Chronicles 20:17).

“Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.”(Job 37:14).

“Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.”(Psalm 4:4).

“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.”(Psalm 23:2).

“Their strength is to sit still.”(Isaiah 30:7b).

Beloved, you have got to get still some how, and some place, where it is quite and you can be still and come into the Lord’s presence, and get right with him first, and pour out your heart to the Lord, and then you can listen and get his direction and help.

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

UNLIMITED

Did you know that we have access to a God, who is the only true God, who has given us Unlimited love, and grace, and mercy. Jesus said, “The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.” (John 3:35). “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” (Matthew 28:18). “Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”(Matthew 18:21-22).The key to open his treasure chest of answered prayer, and miracles, is faith. If you want more faith ,get more in the Word. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”(Romans 10:17). It’s hard to begin to understand such things as Unlimited Love & Forgiveness, unless you have had children of your own. You just love them so much and want to give them everything that is good for them, that it just comes naturally to forgive them and keep on loving them. It is such a tragedy and disaster that the Priests and Nuns in the Catholic Church don’t have children, and are not allowed to marry. How can they instruct those that have children?

“Bless the Lord, O my soul:
and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits:
who forgiveth all thine iniquities;
who healeth all thy diseases;
who redeemeth thy life from destruction;
who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
who satisfieth thy mouth with good things;
so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord executeth righteousness
and judgment for all that are oppressed.
He made known his ways unto Moses,
his acts unto the children of Israel.
The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
He will not always chide:
neither will he keep his anger for ever.
He hath not dealt with us after our sins;
nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as the heaven is high above the earth,
so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
For he knoweth our frame;
he remembereth that we are dust.

As for man, his days are as grass:as a flower of the field, For so he flourisheth. the wind passeth over it, and it is gone;
and the place thereof shall know it no more.
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;” (Psalms 103: 1-17)

“The earth is the Lords and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” (Psalm 24:1). It’s like having your own personal Genie and you don’t even have to rub the bottle to wake up the Genie. You also get Unlimited requests. “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” (Psalm 37:4). “Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker,
Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.” (Isaiah 45:11). Jesus wants us to have this kind of faith! So don’t limit the Holy One of Israel by a lack of faith Jesus said greater works than these shall ye do. Just remember you are an Ambassador for the Kingdom of Heaven, and the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, who has made you and ordained you and called you for his purpose. “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee,
and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”(Jeremiah 1:5). “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” (John 15:16).This is your watch, your time and you surely want to hear these words from Jesus Christ. “His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:23).

Amen.

ETERNAL VIGILANCE

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life Put away from thee a froward mouth,
and perverse lips put far from thee Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.”(Proverbs 4:20-27). “neither give place to the devil.” (Ephesians 4:27).

The spirit world is where are thoughts come from. Like the little boy said, If a thought tells me to do bad it is from the devil if the thought tells me to do good it is from the LORD. That is why we have to guard our hearts and minds from the evil. Which is from the devil,and listen to that which is only good from GOD. “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”(Philippians 4:8). Jesus fought the devil with the WORD, the more WORD you have memorized the stronger and sharper your spiritual sword will be to fight the forces of darkness. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrew 4:12). We need to always be on guard, as the enemy can attack at any minute day or night. So keep your sword sharpened and next to you. It is hard to grow in the spirit if you don’t get strong in the word. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance, and freedom is only one generation away, as President Ronald Regan said. So, train up your children in the ways of the Lord. “If you love me feed my sheep”. (John 21:15-17).

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

DEJA VU’S AND PREMONITIONS

I think we should pay close attention to Deja vu’s and Premonitions because it might be the Lord trying to speak to us and show us his will. My daughter Michelle told me she has them all the time. “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:” (Joel 2:28 Old Testament ). “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:” (Acts 2:17 New Testament). The expression Déjà vu is derived from the French, meaning “already seen.” The feeling of déjà vu, is an experience wherein you feel an overwhelming sense of familiarity. The Webster’s Dictionary definition for Premonition is: to warn in advance, previous notice or warning: FORWARNING: anticipation of an event without conscious reason. In other words Deja vu and Premonitions are and experience that comes right out of the spirit World where time does not exist, where you can time travel into the future or past, a spiritual time overlap into the future or past. Please see our teaching on “Hearing the Voice of God” in www.answersintheword.com. Because that is what you need to do immediately when having these experiences. God is trying to warn us or confirm his will. “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:” ( Isaiah 55:6). “Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17-19). This brings us to another subject, Predestination. I don’t believe the Lord has predestined us in every little thing we do, certain things are predestined, such as children that the Lord uses us to bring into this World, and Bible Prophecy that must be fulfilled but a lot of our fate is controlled by us and our desires. In God’s plan and in God’s heart he wants everyone to be saved and to love him and enjoy his creation and help others to do the same. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9). “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5). “and ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.” (John 15:27). “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” (Romans 8:29). “in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:” (Ephesians 1:11). I don’t believe that the Lord will be happy and satisfied until everyone has been saved,and his creation restored as he originally wanted it to be before the Devil sinned and rebelled no matter how long it takes.

Amen.

DECISIONS

Everyday we are faced with decisions. The Lord didn’t make us robots, but he gave us a free will to decide what path we want to follow. We should always say, Lord willing when we tell people what we are going to do. “Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.” ( James 4:13-16). Many of the decisions that are placed before us are a test of our faith as the Lord is watching us to see what we will do. “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9a). “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” (Proverbs 15:3). Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.” (Psalm 139: 7-12). King David knew this and he said; “ So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.” (Psalm 73:22). Every time the devil or his demons remind you of your past mistakes and sins, just say Thank you Jesus for your Blood that washes away all sins and the devil will flee from you. “but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1John 1:7). “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” (James 4: 7-10). Of course the main decision that we will ever make in this life is to receive Jesus Christ into our hearts as our Saviour, after that life is up to us and what we make of it from our own choices and decisions. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10). All things of this life shall surely pass and only what is done for Christ will Last. When your faced with a decision do you pray and ask the Lord what you should do, and listen to his still small voice? “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10). Remember that God gives the very best to those that leave the choices up to him, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33). The Lord really cares about you and the choices and decisions you make. Go to God’s Word to decide!

Amen.

CLOSE TO HIM

“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.” (Galatians 4:6). Jesus said, He will come into you if you open the door of your heart to him. “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Revelations 3:20). Jesus also said I will never leave you or forsake you, once you open the door to your heart and invite him into your heart. (Hebrews 13:5b). My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one. (John 10:27-30). Notice he did not say I and my Father are one in the same, but they are one in unity of thought, mind, and spirit. This also includes the Holy Ghost which is part of the Trinity. See our class on “The Trinity Explained” in www.answersintheword.com. So when you ask Jesus to come into your heart he brings along with him, God The Father and The Holy Spirit. It is kind of an allegory if you think about it, like a woman who has twins, she has two other people in her body. When you ask Jesus to come into your heart you have four people inside of you, including yourself, you, Jesus, God The Father, and The Holy Ghost. They are so close to you that you can actually talk to them, and they can talk back to you. In fact they know and hear and see all that you think or do. Check out our class on “Is God a Mind Reader”. When you get saved and ask Jesus to come into your heart, you get a measure of the Holy Spirit. The more you obey God you will receive more of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 5:32). The Bible says about Jesus, that God did not give the Holy Spirit by measure unto him. “He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.  For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. (John 3:33-35). Jesus got the full power and anointing of the Holy Ghost when he was baptized by John the Baptist in 26 AD, fulfilling the Prophesy of Daniel Chapter 9 specifically in Daniel 9:23-27. Be sure to study Daniel Chapter 9 in www.answersintheword.com.The World would say that we are crazy and have multiple personalities, or we are schizophrenic, and there is no cure for us because Jesus will never leave us no matter what they say or do. So talk to Jesus all the time he is right there with you and in you along with our Heavenly Father, and The Holy Spirit, when you asked Jesus into your spiritual heart and soul and mind. Jesus wants to be close to you and help you and comfort and strengthen you. “He must increase but I must decrease.” (John 3:30). Lord help us to let you be our pilot and we be the co-pilot.

Amen.

WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING !

JESUS SAID, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:4-5). When I don’t take time to pray and I am in a hurry and not in the Spirit, I make mistakes, things don’t work out so easy. Like the Poem;

I got up early one morning,
And rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish,
I didn’t have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me,
And heavier came each task.
“Why doesn’t Jesus help me?” I wondered.

He answered, “You didn’t ask.”

I tried to come into the Lord’s presence;
I used all my keys at the lock.
Jesus gently and lovingly chided,
“Why, child, you didn’t knock.”

I wanted to see joy and beauty,
But the day toiled on gray and bleak.
I wondered why Jesus didn’t show me.
He said, “You didn’t seek.”

I woke up early this morning,
And paused before entering the day.
I had so much to accomplish
That I had to take time to pray.

The Lord wants us to acknowledge him and put our trust in him. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Jesus said, “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” (Luke 18:1). “Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalms 46:10). We need to listen to the Lord and get still and quite our own spirit down. “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.”(Proverbs 25:28). The Lord is always helping me out of the jams I get myself into and turning out things for good, but maybe it could have been easier if I had come to him first. ”Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29). And for your sake be thankful and give him credit for every good thing that happens, and that you accomplish.

For with out him we can do nothing!

Amen.

ARE YOU A PERSON AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART?

In the Bible it was said of King David that he was a man after God’s own heart. “And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will. Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:” (Acts 13:21-23). However some people wouldn’t be able to tell it by some of the things he did and the way he lived. He sent Uriah The Hittite to be killed on the front lines of Battle so he could take his wife Bath-Sheba,which God severely judged him for. But David repented and turned to the Lord instead of getting bitter he got better because he knew the Lord’s mercy and had faith in his forgiveness. Read this history in the Book of 2 Samuel chapter11. (King David wrote The Book of Psalms), In Psalms 136:1-27 it says God’s mercy endures Forever in each verse 27 times.

Don’t you want to be a man or woman after God’s own heart and receive of his mercy,love, and forgiveness? King David knew how to get desperate in prayer with God and even change Gods mind.

The Lord has mightily used men and women who have made great mistakes and committed many sins in the Bible because they had great repentance’s such as Samson, Solomon, and Paul who even killed Christians until God knocked him off his horse and he got saved. Has God knocked you off your high horse? So if you want to be a person after God’s own heart just read their stories in the Bible. The Lord even told Isaiah to walk around naked and Ezekiel to lay on his side and eat dung, and Hosea to marry a harlot to show the people how they were making the Lord feel.

So be a man or woman after God’s own heart if you dare, and see how great God’s love and mercies really are.

Amen.
