John 7:37-39 “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Matthew 12:31-32 “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” In the light of all the other verses which teach us that we cannot lose our salvation, this verse can only mean that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is rejection of Jesus Christ, because the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses from ALL sins. (I John 1:7). Also the Holy Spirit leads people to Jesus but does not forgive sins.
Acts 2:1-5 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.” Pray for the gift of tongues. People can receive the gift of tongues when they get filled with the Holy Ghost. (Luke 11:9-13) “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[ a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
I John 5:7 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, (Jesus is the Word: John 1:14) and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” The Holy Ghost which is also the Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity or the Holy Family of God.
John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
John 16:7-11 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”
Joel 2:28-31 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.”As things get worse God will pour out more of his Spirit upon his children to help us until Jesus comes and plucks us off the face of the earth. (Daniel 11:33,34) “And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.” God will give you grace and power for the hour, when you need it. A little help from the Holy Spirit is a lot of help. (I Corinthians 10:13). “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea’-a, and in Sa-ma’-ri-a, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” One of the main reasons the Holy Spirit was poured out is to give people power to witness about Jesus.
Romans 5:5 “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
Matthew 3:16 “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and. Lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him.”The Holy Spirit is also sometimes like a gentle dove that can easily be shewed away if we don’t want to listen or yield.
Acts 5:32 “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.” The more we obey God the more of the Holy Ghost we get.
Luke 1:35 “And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” The Holy Ghost possessed Mary and God himself begat his Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ came from Heaven at this time. We are adopted sons and daughters by receiving Jesus Christ as our Saviour.
Genesis 1:26,27 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”God and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, were talking and they said; Let US make male & female (Adam & Eve) after OUR likeness, male & female. This verse shows us that there is a male personality and a female personality in the Trinity or the Holy Family, consisting of God the Father, the Holy Spirit the Mother, and the Son Jesus Christ. In Hebrew the word “RUAH” means spirit and was translated into English as the word spirit, and it refers to feminine, and the word Spirit in Greek is “PNEUMA” which can mean either male or female. When the King James Bible was translated from Greek to English in 1611 it was during a time when blasphemers and heretics were burned at the stake. The Scholars who translated the Bible were apparently afraid of saying that the Holy Spirit was feminine so they used the word “he” when referring to the Holy Spirit, instead of saying she as is clearly brought out in Hebrew. Also when Jesus was speaking in Aramaic (the common language of his day) he used a pronoun (PARACLETE) that meant feminine when referring to the Holy Spirit. If it is to much for you to understand and grasp this concept, that the Holy Spirit is feminine then don’t worry too much about it because it doesn’t have anything to do with your salvation, all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ to be saved. Every place in the Bible where it refers to the Holy Spirit as “he”, a better translation would be “she”. If you prefer to believe that there are 3 guys up there running everything then that is up to you. However to me it makes a whole lot more sense to believe that there is a Father, a Son, and a Mother, the Trinity running things.
Mark 1:8 “I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.” When you get saved, it’s like filling up a glass of water to the top, and when you get baptized or filled with the Holy Ghost it’s like pouring water into a full glass and it over flows. When you get saved you get a measure of the Holy Spirit, but when you get baptized in the Holy Ghost you over flow with the Holy Spirit on to others.
John 20:22 “And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:”
Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” You can lose the anointing of the Holy Ghost. King David prayed; “Take not thy Holy Spirit from me.” (Psalm 51:11b). You can also get it back and be renewed and regenerated by the Holy Ghost according to where your heart is at, and your obedience or disobedience. You can’t lose your salvation or Jesus, but you can lose, and regain, and renew the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” The Holy Ghost is an extra gift you get after you’re saved.
Galatians 5:22,23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” God’s only law is love when we are yielded to his Spirit. Beloved we need to pray for these gifts of the Spirit.
II Peter 1:21 “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of Man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
I Corinthians 6:19 “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
Matthew 3:11 “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.” Do you have problems or does someone you know have problems? Maybe they just need to be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost? Or maybe you and they just need more of the Holy Spirit. I know I do. I can never get enough of the Holy Spirit!!!
Luke 11:13 “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your Children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”Just ask for the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus and God will give it to you.
Acts 19:2 “He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.” Some people say that you have to have the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues to be saved, but that’s not true. Here in this verse it clearly shows that some saved believers had not even heard of the Holy Ghost yet.
Acts 8:17 “Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.”
Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
