POWERFUL VERSES IN THE BOOK OF ACTS TO MEMORIZE AND LIVE FOR

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 1:8).

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2:1-4).

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: and on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: and I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:  the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: and it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Acts 2:17-21)

And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, (Acts 2:44-46).

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:12-13)

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, (Acts 4:29)

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. (Acts 4:32).

And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. (Acts 5:41-42).

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

NEW BEGINNINGS

All things change but Jesus NEVER changes. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”(Matthew 24:35).Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.”(Psalms 55:19b). I personally have had some changes this past year. Have you? Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”(2 Corinthians 5:17). Think about the good things that Jesus has done for you. Write them down. Think about the many miracles that the Lord has done for you, even small ones. Remember the loss of a nail caused the loss of a shoe and the loss of a shoe caused the loss of a horse, and the loss of a horse caused the loss of a King, and the loss of a King caused the loss of a Kingdom. All because of the loss of one little nail. (Zechariah 4). Can you see God’s mighty hand working in your life? “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.”(Philippians 3:13-15). Think of what you have learned to help get you closer to Jesus. Have a good communion. Get clean and right with God, and get a clean slate by faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Only Begotten Son. “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.”(John 15:3). “but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”(1 John 1:7). Are you closer to Jesus than you were a year ago? “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”(Romans 8:1-2). “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”(Romans 8:28). “being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”(Philippians 1:6). “He must increase, but I must decrease.”(John 3:30). If you are closer to Jesus you will be farther from yourself. “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.”(Luke 9:24). “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”( Romans 12:1-2). YOU CAN HAVE A NEW BEGINNING EVERY DAY!

Amen.

DO YOU WANT INNER PEACE?

But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.”(Isaiah 57:20-21). “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.”(Isaiah 3:12). A wicked people get wicked rulers. Evil triumphs when good people do nothing. Better to stand for something righteous and good than to die for nothing. All the things of this life will surely pass only what is done for Christ shall last. “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”(2 Timothy 4:6-8). “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”(1 Corinthians 2:9). It gives you a good feeling when pay day comes and you know you can expect a big check, Right? How big do you expect your pay day from God is going to be? You know you are writing your own pay check everyday. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”(Romans 8:38-39). “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:”(Matthew 6:19-20). Being square and right with God is where peace is to be found. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”(John 14:27). In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”(John 14:2-3). “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7). “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (Isaiah 26:3). Let Jesus calm the troubled storm in your hearts. Take all your problems and cares to Jesus. “casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”(1 Peter 5:7). “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”(Matthew 11:28-30). Beloved we can only find peace thru the Prince of Peace Jesus Christ The Only Begotten Son of God!

THE HOUSE OF THE LORD

Thus saith the Lord The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my foot stool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?” (Isaiah 66:1).

Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,”(Acts 7:48).

The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, stand in the gate of the Lord’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the Lord. Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the Lord. The temple of the Lord. The temple of the Lord are these. For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; if ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever. Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit. Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not; and come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations? Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the Lord. But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel. And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the Lord and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not; therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh. And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim. Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.” (Jeremiah 7:1-16).

There was a time in The Old Testamate when God’s glory called the “Shekinal Glory” came to rest around the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies in Soloman’s Temple before Jesus Christ came. “ And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.”(1Kings 8:10-11). Have you ever experienced the Shekinal Glory? You can if you seek the Lord with all your heart. “Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:12-13). “Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house. And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the Lord saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.”(2 Chronicles 7:1-3).

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”(1 Corinthians 6:19-20). “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25). “And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves, and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.”(Matthew 21:12-13). The word Church means ,The Called Out People, not a building.“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20).

WHAT IS THAT TO YOU?

“Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.”(John 21:20-22). We should never be envious of others, or compare ourselves to others blessings and the way God uses them. What we need to do is think about that day when we see Jesus face to face. I want Jesus to say to me “His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”(Matthew 25:21). I am really to busy to waste time listening to the devil and worrying about what people think about me or what is going to be their reward. I’m too busy trying to do what He has called me to do, which is to reach the unreached. Shouldn’t you feel the same way? Shouldn’t we all be to busy doing what Jesus has called us to do, and not waste time. After all, what matters is what Jesus thinks about us. We should always try to please him. Jesus said; “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.”(John 8:29). Of course only Jesus could say this. “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”(Hebrews 4:15). We should try and follow his example and be like Jesus, AMEN?

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. ARE YOU JESUS’S FAIR WEATHER FRIEND?

Do you love, praise, and thank the Lord when all goes well and we are in good health and are in the chips and the blessings are flowing.

I think sometimes the Lord turns off or down the springs or the flow of God’s blessings to test us, and to see if we will still love Him, and bless Him, and thank Him, and praise Him. The Bible says; “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.”(Psalm 34:1-2). We need to praise Him at all times, good or bad. Please Him by praising Him even if you don’t feel like it. “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”(Psalm 34:19). “Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; and make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.”(Hebrews 12:11-13). “We love Him, because He first loved us.”(1 John 4:19). Jesus said, “ for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:5b). “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”(Philippians 4:13). So if you just feel you can’t praise the Lord because of the situation you are going through and it’s just to hard just ask Jesus to help you to praise Him and He will, and just do it by faith, because “without faith it is impossible to please Him.”(Hebrews 11:6). All love comes from God. There are three main types of LOVE in the Greek language, Agape, (God’s Love) Eros, (Love for pleasure), and Philia (Love for self and other pursuits). Lord help us to keep Agape Love First ! “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”( Matthew 22:37-39).

We can’t see Love, it is an invisible force, but we sure can see and feel the results of Love. “whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:”(1 Peter 1:8).

Look at Job he was tested to the brink of death and even lost his family and his wealth and health, even his wife told him to curse God and die. Yet Job said; “Though he slay me yet will I trust Him”(Job 13:15a), and the Lord restored all to him even better. Job was the first Book written in the Bible, even before the Book Genesis. Was God trying to tell us something? “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”(James 1:2-4). “that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” (1Peter 1:7). Jesus help us to be thankful for everything, even the good and the bad. This is easier said than done, but by God’s grace and help we can do it. “Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit.”( 1 Thessalonians 5:17-19). Remember Romans 8:28 when your going thru it.“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

” WE HAVE COME THIS FAR BY FAITH LEANING ON THE LORD TRUSTING IN HIS HOLY WORD, HE’S NEVER FAILED US YET !!!

Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

THIS IS THE WAY TO FIGHT YOUR BATTLES

Got any rivers you think are uncross able, got any mountains you can’t tunnel through ? God specializes in things that are impossible, and he can do what no other one can do !

2 Chronicles 20:1-29 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

20 It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle. Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazon-tamar, which is En-gedi. And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.

And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court, and said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee? Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever? And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying, If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help. 10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not; 11 behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit. 12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee. 13 And all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

14 Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation; 15 and he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. 17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you. 18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshipping the Lord. 19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. 21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.

22  And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. 23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another. 24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped. 25 And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

26 And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the Lord: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day. 27 Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the Lord had made them to rejoice over their enemies. 28 And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the Lord. 29 And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the Lord fought against the enemies of Israel.

SAY THIS PRAYER IF YOU WANT TO BE SAVED

Dear Jesus Christ, Please come into my Heart, I now accept you as my Savior, The only begotten Son of God ,I Believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead, Please forgive me of all my sins and fill me with the Holy Spirit, to give me the power to be a witness and to preach the Gospel in all the world. AMEN.

To Marry or not to Marry?

You should never marry the person you can live with, but marry the person you can’t live with out.

Marriage will cause some problems, but it most generally will solve more problems than it creates.

A single man is half a man, and a single woman is half a woman.

Ever wish you had 4 hands, 4 arms, and 4 legs? Get married.

Having children or adopting will help consolidate a marriage.

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? (Ecclesiastes 4:9-11)

“And the Lord God said,It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”(Genesis 2:18).

“And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”(Genesis 2:20-25).

The Lord made Eve, Adam’s wife, out of a rib close to his heart.

One day the Lord was walking in the garden of Eden with Adam, and Adam asked the Lord, why he made Eve so beautiful? The Lord told him, so you would love her Adam. Adam thought on that for awhile, then he asked the Lord, but why did you make her so stupid? The Lord answered him and said, so she would love you Adam. (Ha ! Ha !).

It says in Revelations 2:6 that Jesus hates the deeds of the Nicolatines. It is most commonly thought by many Theologians and Scholars that the deeds of the Nicolatines was their refusal to marry and have children.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:(1Timothy 4:1-4).

How can any body lead or teach any body about raising a family with children who have never had any of their own, or even married?

If you have had a few bad experiences don’t give up, pray and put your request in to Jesus. Sometimes you have to get thrown a few times before you can learn to ride.

You need a partner to help you through this life.

Me & my wife both said we would never bring children into this world. Well we ended up with 16. If you want to make God & Jesus Christ his Son, and the Holy Spirit laugh just tell them your plans.

Behind every great man is a great woman. The man is the head of the household, and the woman is the neck that turns the head.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be subject to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.”(Ephesians 5:22-33). Make sure you are both in agreement with these scripture verses or keep on looking, save yourself a lot of grief, but don’t wait to long for the perfect person because that will never happen. You better look deeper than the outward appearance.

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen

Do you HOPE or Are you EXPECTING ?

Hope is an interesting Word. It is used in the King James English Bible. A popular verse of scripture is found in (1Corinthians 13:13) “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” The question that comes to me is, is Hope really certain? Does it sound like your sure about it, or are you just Hoping it is? In Hebrew the word Hope means you know that God will do something because he has done it before, and he can do it again. In Greek the word Hope means to Expect something to happen. What ever it is that you want to happen. Like Jesus said in (Mark 9:23) “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Perhaps a better translation for the King James’s 70 scholars, which took them ten years to translate the King James Bible into English from Hebrew and Greek, would have been to use the word Expect or Expecting instead of Hope which sounds more poetical and grammatically appealing. Remember Jesus also said in (Mark 11:23) “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” To me this sounds more solid and knowing and expecting and believing than Hoping. This expecting kind of faith is what pleases God more than just hoping what you pray for will happen. Like what it says in (Hebrews 11:6) “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” So may the Lord help us to not be wishy washy in our Prayers, but to be expecting and knowing that what we pray for is already done by faith not just hoping it is. (James 1:6-8) says “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” So have faith beloved when you pray and expect, and believe, and know for sure that it is done, and it is done. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”  (Jeremiah 29:11)
