DECISIONS

Everyday we are faced with decisions. The Lord didn’t make us robots, but he gave us a free will to decide what path we want to follow. We should always say, Lord willing when we tell people what we are going to do. “Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.” ( James 4:13-16). Many of the decisions that are placed before us are a test of our faith as the Lord is watching us to see what we will do. “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9a). “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” (Proverbs 15:3). Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.” (Psalm 139: 7-12). King David knew this and he said; “ So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.” (Psalm 73:22). Every time the devil or his demons remind you of your past mistakes and sins, just say Thank you Jesus for your Blood that washes away all sins and the devil will flee from you. “but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1John 1:7). “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” (James 4: 7-10). Of course the main decision that we will ever make in this life is to receive Jesus Christ into our hearts as our Saviour, after that life is up to us and what we make of it from our own choices and decisions. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10). All things of this life shall surely pass and only what is done for Christ will Last. When your faced with a decision do you pray and ask the Lord what you should do, and listen to his still small voice? “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10). Remember that God gives the very best to those that leave the choices up to him, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33). The Lord really cares about you and the choices and decisions you make. Go to God’s Word to decide!

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
