CLOSE TO HIM

“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.” (Galatians 4:6). Jesus said, He will come into you if you open the door of your heart to him. “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Revelations 3:20). Jesus also said I will never leave you or forsake you, once you open the door to your heart and invite him into your heart. (Hebrews 13:5b). My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one. (John 10:27-30). Notice he did not say I and my Father are one in the same, but they are one in unity of thought, mind, and spirit. This also includes the Holy Ghost which is part of the Trinity. See our class on “The Trinity Explained” in www.answersintheword.com. So when you ask Jesus to come into your heart he brings along with him, God The Father and The Holy Spirit. It is kind of an allegory if you think about it, like a woman who has twins, she has two other people in her body. When you ask Jesus to come into your heart you have four people inside of you, including yourself, you, Jesus, God The Father, and The Holy Ghost. They are so close to you that you can actually talk to them, and they can talk back to you. In fact they know and hear and see all that you think or do. Check out our class on “Is God a Mind Reader”. When you get saved and ask Jesus to come into your heart, you get a measure of the Holy Spirit. The more you obey God you will receive more of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 5:32). The Bible says about Jesus, that God did not give the Holy Spirit by measure unto him. “He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.  For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. (John 3:33-35). Jesus got the full power and anointing of the Holy Ghost when he was baptized by John the Baptist in 26 AD, fulfilling the Prophesy of Daniel Chapter 9 specifically in Daniel 9:23-27. Be sure to study Daniel Chapter 9 in www.answersintheword.com.The World would say that we are crazy and have multiple personalities, or we are schizophrenic, and there is no cure for us because Jesus will never leave us no matter what they say or do. So talk to Jesus all the time he is right there with you and in you along with our Heavenly Father, and The Holy Spirit, when you asked Jesus into your spiritual heart and soul and mind. Jesus wants to be close to you and help you and comfort and strengthen you. “He must increase but I must decrease.” (John 3:30). Lord help us to let you be our pilot and we be the co-pilot. My Grandmother Pearl used to tell me that our bodies were like a house where our spirit lives in , and our eyes were like windows to our house that our spirits could look out at the world. When you have Jesus and God our Hevenly Father and the Holy Spirit, in your house then you have a full Happy house..

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING !

JESUS SAID, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:4-5). When I don’t take time to pray and I am in a hurry and not in the Spirit, I make mistakes, things don’t work out so easy. Like the Poem;

I got up early one morning,
And rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish,
I didn’t have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me,
And heavier came each task.
“Why doesn’t Jesus help me?” I wondered.

He answered, “You didn’t ask.”

I tried to come into the Lord’s presence;
I used all my keys at the lock.
Jesus gently and lovingly chided,
“Why, child, you didn’t knock.”

I wanted to see joy and beauty,
But the day toiled on gray and bleak.
I wondered why Jesus didn’t show me.
He said, “You didn’t seek.”

I woke up early this morning,
And paused before entering the day.
I had so much to accomplish
That I had to take time to pray.

The Lord wants us to acknowledge him and put our trust in him. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Jesus said, “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” (Luke 18:1). “Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalms 46:10). We need to listen to the Lord and get still and quite our own spirit down. “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.”(Proverbs 25:28). The Lord is always helping me out of the jams I get myself into and turning out things for good, but maybe it could have been easier if I had come to him first. ”Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29). And for your sake be thankful and give him credit for every good thing that happens, and that you accomplish.

For with out him we can do nothing!

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

ARE YOU A PERSON AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART?

In the Bible it was said of King David that he was a man after God’s own heart. “And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will. Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:” (Acts 13:21-23). However some people wouldn’t be able to tell it by some of the things he did and the way he lived. He sent Uriah The Hittite to be killed on the front lines of Battle so he could take his wife Bath-Sheba,which God severely judged him for. But David repented and turned to the Lord instead of getting bitter he got better because he knew the Lord’s mercy and had faith in his forgiveness. Read this history in the Book of 2 Samuel chapter11. (King David wrote The Book of Psalms), In Psalms 136:1-27 it says God’s mercy endures Forever in each verse 27 times.

Don’t you want to be a man or woman after God’s own heart and receive of his mercy, love, and forgiveness? King David knew how to get desperate in prayer with God and even change Gods mind.

The Lord has mightily used men and women who have made great mistakes and committed many sins in the Bible because they had great repentance’s such as Samson, Solomon, and Paul who even killed Christians until God knocked him off his horse and he got saved. Has God knocked you off your high horse? So if you want to be a person after God’s own heart just read their stories in the Bible. The Lord even told Isaiah to walk around naked and Ezekiel to lay on his side and eat dung, and Hosea to marry a harlot to show the people how they were making the Lord feel.

So be a man or woman after God’s own heart if you dare, and see how great God’s love and mercies really are.

Amen.

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.”(Luke 5:17-24)

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”(Matthew 11:28-30)

“My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.”(Psalm 73:26)

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”(1 Corinthians 10:13)

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”(Proverbs 17:22)

“And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. And all the city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.”(Mark 1:29-34)

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;”(Psalm 103:2-4)

“Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.”(Jeremiah 33:6)

“Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper. Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;”(Psalm 30:10-11)

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

The Cure for all Virus!

“And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.” (Numbers 21:4-9). Jesus said; “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John3:14-15)

Many Doctors wear this symbol of a Brass serpent on a Staff to represent healing and that they are of the Healing profession.

Even though the people murmured and sinned against the Lord by complaining against Moses, Gods Prophet and Messenger, Moses still prayed for them and then God in his Mercy told Moses what to do to save the people. “but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.” (2 Chronicles 36:16). This reminds me of how the people today (mostly the Democrats) mock and murmur about God’s Messenger, President Trump. Could this be one of the reasons why the Lord has allowed this pestilence and plague of Corona Virus ? I believe this judgment of God has descended upon the world and America because of this sin and others such as abortion which is going on one hundred million babies killed now, and many other sins. You know you can only push God so far until you make him angry, and you don’t want to do that. “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:31). It’s time to wake up and look to Jesus to get right with God and live !

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen

Do you HOPE or Are you EXPECTING ?

Hope is an interesting Word. It is used in the King James English Bible. A popular verse of scripture is found in (1Corinthians 13:13) “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” The question that comes to me is, is Hope really certain? Does it sound like your sure about it, or are you just Hoping it is? In Hebrew the word Hope means you know that God will do something because he has done it before, and he can do it again. In Greek the word Hope means to Expect something to happen. What ever it is that you want to happen. Like Jesus said in (Mark 9:23) “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Perhaps a better translation for the King James’s 70 scholars, which took them ten years to translate the King James Bible into English from Hebrew and Greek, would have been to use the word Expect or Expecting instead of Hope which sounds more poetical and grammatically appealing. Remember Jesus also said in (Mark 11:23) “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” To me this sounds more solid and knowing and expecting and believing than Hoping. This expecting kind of faith is what pleases God more than just hoping what you pray for will happen. Like what it says in (Hebrews 11:6) “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” So may the Lord help us to not be wishy washy in our Prayers, but to be expecting and knowing that what we pray for is already done by faith not just hoping it is. (James 1:6-8) says “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” So have faith beloved when you pray and expect, and believe, and know for sure that it is done, and it is done. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”  (Jeremiah 29:11)

Amen

MATTHEW CHAPTER 6 ( JESUS TEACHES US HOW TO PRAY)

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.  Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.  But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:  that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.  Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;  that thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

SALVATION PRAYER

 Dear Jesus Christ,

I confess I am a sinner. Please forgive me of all my sins. I now accept you as my Saviour, the Only Begotten Son of God. I believe you died on the cross for my sins, and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart, and fill me with the Holy Spirit,  and help me to live for you.
