THE HEAVENLY VISION

The Bible tells us to stay true to the heavenly vision, but what does that mean? Well, God’s Word tells us, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18 a).You have to have a vision, a reason for living, a goal, something to strive for. Otherwise without a vision you are just like an astronaut who’s tether line has broken and he is adrift in space aimlessly floating into oblivion.You have got to find that certain something that motivates you and gets you going and out of bed and on track. For some people it is money and the pursuit of material gain. The Constitution talks about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and it guarantees us of that right, but it doesn’t guarantee you will find it.”Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”(Matthew 22:37-39). Beloved any thing that you are pursuing besides this great commandment is just a waste of time and energy and will come to naught. Jesus told us ,”Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:” (Matthew 6:19,20). All the things of this life will surely pass and only what is done for Christ shall last.”the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.”(Matthew 13:45,46 ). Have you found that goodly pearl yet? Have you sold all you have to buy it? If you have, you have made a very wise choice, and investment. “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”(Philippians 3:13,14). Have you found the high calling of God in Christ Jesus for your life? He is no fool, who gives what he can not keep, to gain what he can not loose.

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I  believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

WHAT A JOY TO FIND ! (video & text)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bkm57fyd1W8&feature=youtu.be

This may be to far out there for some. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7). Let me ask you, if we are walking around with all these cares and worries on our shoulders, are we really obeying this verse? This verse sounds like a commandment to me and, not just a suggestion. We are supposed to be Lord letter’s, not Christian trier’s. Leave something up to the Holy Spirit. being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
 (Philippians 1:6). Put your trust in Jesus ! Are we really suppose to be walking around with our head in the clouds in a state of such peace and contentment and Heavenly Bliss? YES! YES! YES! Just take it to Jesus in prayer, and leave it with him. Don’t pick it back up from Jesus and go on with it ! Leave it with him. “Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you,and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11: 28-30). “What a peace of mind what a joy to find, leaning on the ever lasting arms.” Don’t let the devil use  anything or anybody to steal your JOY. “Neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”( Nehemiah 8:10b).
“These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”(John 15:11 ) Remember the way to spell joy is Jesus, Others, and You. As SAVED, BORN AGAIN, HOLY SPIRIT FILLED, WASHED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS, BELIEVERS, may we always be known for our love and our joy ! ! !
Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

REAL LEADERS

The Lord needs leaders in his Army. Do you want to be one.? Real leaders are people who see the job needs to be done and they do it without a Title or praise or recognition from man. “not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;”(Ephesians 6:6).”But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant “. (Matthew 23:11 ).   “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”(Mark 10:45 ). Jesus was the greatest leader of all. He led in Love and Humility, and by example. “So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.  If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.  For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.  Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. ( John 13:12-16).It takes time to make a Leader. The Leaders and people that God used in the Bible had to go through great breakings and humblings before they were ready for what the Lord wanted them to do. If you are in God’s school of Leadership, then you are in the school of great breakings so the Lord can shape you, and mold you as the potter shapes the pottery vessel to be ready for the Masters use. God has to get you out of the way so Jesus can shine through. “He must increase but I must decrease.” (John 3:30). If you are in God’s boot camp school of leadership, you are in the school of hard knocks, but the Lord will give you the grace. Jesus said,“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”(Matthew 11:28-30). Don’t leave school until the bell rings. A sign of a leader is someone who feeds the sheep spiritually with the Word, and makes sure everyone around them is progressing in the Lord and his Word. A real leader loves Jesus and wants everyone to get close to Jesus. A real leader makes sure their family has united prayer together everyday, and devotions, and Bible studies together. A real leader has a great sense of responsibility and accountability to the Lord. A real leader is someone who is striving to be like Jesus daily. A real Leader leads by example not just a sermon.

A SAMPLE NOT A SERMON

I’d rather see a sermon than hear one any day;
I’d rather one should walk with me than merely tell the way.
The eye is a better pupil, more willing than the ear;
Fine counsel is confusing, but example is always clear,
And the best of all the preachers are the men who live their creeds,
For to see a good put in action is what everybody needs.
I can soon learn how to do it if you will let me see it done;
I can watch your hand in action, but your tongue too fast may run.
And the lectures you deliver may be very wise and true,
But I’d rather get my lesson by observing what you do.
For I may misunderstand you and the high advice you give,
But there is no misunderstanding how you act and how you live.
When I see a deed of kindness, I am eager to be kind.
When a weaker brother stumbles, and a strong man stands behind.
Just to see if he can help him, then the wish grows strong in me
To become as big and thoughtful as I know that friend to be.
And all travelers can witness that the best of guides today
Is not the one who tells them, but the one who shows the way.
One good man teaches many; men believe what they behold;
One deed of kindness noted is worth forty that are told.
Who stands with men of honor learns to hold his honor dear,
For right living speaks a language which to everyone is clear.
Though an able speaker charms me with his eloquence, I say,
I’d rather see a sermon than hear one any day.

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. Dreams and Desires

It has been said, ” If you want to make God laugh, just tell him your plans,” It is ok, and good to have dreams and goals and plans for the future, just do what the Bible says; “whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.”(James 4:14,15). Remember to always say “Lord willing”, after you say what your going to do.“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”(Psalms 37:4,5). The Lord put it in your heart to have dreams and desires, and he loves you and loves to help you fulfill them. He gives the very best to those that leave the choices up to him.Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord,or being his counsellor hath taught him? (Isaiah 40:13).  “For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? “(Romans 11:34).“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith  the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8,9). Most Churches have a pre-written program of the service and the sermon and a step by step pre-planned diagram of every thing to be said and done during the service. Can you imagine getting a blank program as you walk through the door, and the Pastor starts off by saying ” Today we are going to let the Lord and the Holy Spirit fill this brochure out.” It is sure a lot more fun and exciting falling into the hands of God and seeing what thrills and intoxications of the Spirit that he has in store for you. Jesus said, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”( John 4:24). I wouldn’t advise you to say no, or never to God, or to tell him what you are going to do.The Lord may have some greater and bigger plans up his sleeve  for you, more than you can ask or think. Don’t limit the Holy One of Israel ! “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”(I Corinthians 2:9).The future is as bright as the promises of God.”But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”(Proverbs 4:18). Have faith in God that he knows what is best for you and that he has the best plans in store for your future. Just make sure the paths that you choose are according to the Word and the leading of the Holy Ghost. Godly counsel always helps. The Lord often gives you different choices within his will just to see what you will do. It’s like the Bible says “Like as a father pitieth his children,so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.”(Psalm 103:13).Take one day at a time, Don’t worry about tomorrow.“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”(Matthew 6:34).He has got the whole world in his hands. There is not one hair on your head that falls, or one sparrow that falls to the ground unless God allows it for a purpose.“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”(Matthew 10:29-31).The Lord has gotten me out of countless jams that I have gotten myself into, and he has worked things out for good, when I cried out to Jesus ! “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.(Romans 8:28).
Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

A DIFFERENT WAY TO LOOK AT THINGS

Are sufferings and afflictions, and grief a blessing? “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” (Psalm 34:19). The Lord promises us in his Word that we will have how many afflictions? MANY! How many of these afflictions does he promise us that he will deliver us from? ALL OF THEM! ” For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.” (Philippians 1:29).The Bible tells us that sufferings are given to us. So we should be thankful for the things that are given to us, Amen? “Even the Son learned obedience through the things which he suffered” ( Hebrews 5:8).). ” Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith: who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2). “My brethren count it all joy when ye fall into diverse temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire wanting nothing.” (James 1:2-4). Jesus was “a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.” (Isaiah 53:5).“The Lord is neigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite (crushed) spirit.” (Psalm 34:18).“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flames kindle upon thee.” (Isaiah 43:2). “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”(IThessalonians 5:16-18).  Life can make you bitter or better, depending on how you handle it.And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.” ( Matthew 21:44). Beloved if we look at sorrow and grief and suffering in the light of these scriptures we can see things more clearly and in a whole new perspective, and it will help us to get through these times, Amen? Trials of your faith come to make you strong in the Lord. “that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” (1 Peter 1:7).

Amen.

AMAZING PEACE

Jesus is the PRINCE OF PEACE. Jesus said “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called “The Children of God.” (Matthew 5:9 ).Are you a peacemaker, do you go about every where making peace? Then you shall be blessed and be called a child of God. Here is the other side of the coin, if they don’t want Jesus then Jesus said, Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.  For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.  And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.  He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.  And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.”(Matthew 10:34-38 ). While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.  Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.  But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?  And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” ( Matthew 12:46-50).  “So there was a division among the people because of him.” (John 7:43 ). Our job is to bring them peace by bringing them Jesus, but if they don’t want Jesus, then they never will find peace “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” ( John 3:36).There is no peace without Jesus ChristBut the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.” (Isaiah 57:20,21 ). and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. ( IIThessalonians 2:10-12.) God said that he will chose the delusions for people who reject the truth, even though they think that they are chosing their own delusions. “I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not. Hear the word of the Lord, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the Lord be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.”( Isaiah 66:4,5) “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27 ). And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7). You can have peace in the midst of a storm. You can have joy when there is no joy to be found. Just look up to the Lord. Just cry out to Jesus and he will immediately be there for you.

Amen.

DO YOU WANT TO BE CONTENT ?

 Are we supposed to want something? The Prophet Daniel and his fellows saw a hand writing on the wall, which you can read about in Daniel Chapter 5. The hand wrote ME’-NE, ME’-NE, TE’-KEL, U-PHARSIN, on the wall, which means  “Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.” (This means they were found needing to be right with God. What if you were sitting in your living room and you saw a hand appear, and write ME’-NE, ME’-NE, TE’-KEL, U-PHARSIN, on your wall?) And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.(1 Timothy 6:8-12). “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” ( Hebrews 13:5). It seems that the heart of man can never be satisfied. We will always want more and more. As soon as we get what we want we want something else, or more, or better. This is the opposite of what the Bible teaches us. In fact the Scripture says; “Let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” ( James 1:4). “ Mark the perfect man, and behold the up right: for the end of that man is peace.” ( Psalm 37:37). If we delight ourselves in the Lord, he will give us the desires of our heart. ( Psalm 37:4). This verse shows us that we should just want more and more of Jesus, and his Love, and his Word, and the Holy Spirit! Amen? King David was a man after God’s own heart. Lord help us to be that way. ( Acts 13:22). Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.( Psalm 73:25). Beloved if we desire contentment we need to ask the Lord to help us follow these verses. “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33). Of course if we just want more of Jesus, then we will also want everyone to know him too!

Amen.

HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN RIGHT NOW ( video & text)

http://youtu.be/KHSeXOBfEzk

Would you like to be more loving, and kind, and more like Jesus? One thing I think that would help us all, is to realize that the way we treat the Lord and others is how the Lord will treat us. “For with the same measure that ye meet withal it shall be measured to you again.”(Luke 6:38b ).”whatsoever a man soweth the same shall he reap.”(Galatians 6:7b). “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you ,do ye even so unto them.”(Matthew 7:12a). Even if people don’t treat you right, go ahead and treat them right.” Be not overcome with evil, but over come evil with good.”(Romans 12:21).But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”( Matthew 5:44-48).So if you want the Lord to Love you and bless you and be kind to you. Then treat the Lord and others the same way you want the Lord and others to treat you. Jesus said; “THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF.”(Matthew 22:37-39).It’s like a boomerang, it will come back to you.I think if we are more mindful of this spiritual and scriptural truth, that it will help us in our daily encounters, and it will help us to be more careful and prayerful in the things we say and do.If we all would try and be more like Jesus we could have a little bit of Heaven right now in our hearts and lives. Wow, what a change that would make!!! Why wait until you get to heaven, when you can have a little bit of Heaven right now?

If you want to go to Heaven someday, sincerely pray this simple prayer:

Jesus, I want to know you and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things, and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Savior. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

THE JOY OF THE LORD ( video & text)

http://youtu.be/BX6IrYYHjeY

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.”(Proverbs 3:5,6). If you value the praise of man, you had better catch it quickly while you can, because it is soon gone. “How can ye believe that seek honour one from another and seek not the honour that cometh from God only.”( John 5:44).”Not with eyeservice as men pleasers but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.”(Ephesians 6:6). “Who made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant.” (Philippians 2:7). “But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.”(Matthew 23:11 ). Jesus is where it is at. If you want to be cool then be like Jesus. If you want to have peace then come to the prince of peace. If you want to have joy remember joy comes from putting Jesus first in your heart and life, and Others second, and Yourself last. If you don’t have joy in your heart and life maybe it’s because you are not following this simple formula. Try it. You will be amazed at how it works; “And the things of this world will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace.” The Lord wants you to be happy and full of joy. We who have Jesus in our hearts should be the happiest people on the face of the earth. In fact people should wonder about us, and say, “Why are they so happy,” and always smiling so much, and have so much fun, and peace, and joy, so they will want what we have, and we can give them Jesus. Amen? ”The joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10). “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” (John 15:11). Beloved we have a lot of wonderful good things to look forward too. ” whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:”  (II Peter 1:4a).“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” (Proverbs 4:18).“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” ( I Corinthians 2:9).

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things, and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

BE THANKFUL, DON”T COMPLAIN

The best way to appreciate your job is to imagine yourself without it. Don’t count all of your blessings in dollars and cents, but count your spiritual blessings in all of the wonderful JEWELS you have learned from God’s Word. “The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.” ( Psalm 119:72 ). You could have been born to a family in India who are starving and worship cows and rats, and they pray to rats, and make temples for them, and they feed them even before they feed their own children. My God such darkness! “I had no shoes and complained until I met a man who had no feet.” God hates murmuring and complaining and unthankfulness almost more than any other sin, except rejecting Jesus Christ, his Son. God destroyed millions in the Sinai Desert because of murmuring. “Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”( I Corinthians 10:10,11).Think of it, after seeing all these miracles happen in front of their eyes. The Jews still murmured and complained. God takes away blessings when we don’t appreciate them. One optimistic old woman said, “Yes, its pretty hard, I have to get along with only two teeth– one upper and one lower, but thank the Lord they both meet.” “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (I Thessalonians 5:16-18). Don’t let the devil trick you, and fall into his trap of murmuring, and complaining. If we are always being thankful for everything that comes our way, we won’t have time to be complaining and murmuring. Count your blessings name them one by one. Count your blessings and see what God has done ! The Promised Land is what you make it ! Be thankful and make it a little bit of Heaven right now ! Why Wait !!

Amen.
