Maria, my daughter-in-law told me just the other day “we sure do move a lot” I told her “yes, I guess that is one of our problems.” Seems like we are always on the move.” Jesus said, “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8). “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19). If there’s anything I’ve learned in my brief time of life of serving the Lord of some 50 + years, is that God always has something up his sleeve, something new that surprises me. You never know what He’s going to do next. It’s like the old preacher said “I have been in the way for 50 years” Well it’s about time I got out of the way so I don’t get ran over. You can be on track, but if you stay still you’ll eventually get run into and over. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9).So don’t sew your sleeping bag to your mattress or get stuck in a rut, because the Lord may have something else in store for you. Bigger or smaller. However there are no smaller things of God, Because everything we do or say effects someone, some where and their eternal state of being. “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (2Timothy 3:1-5). Living for Jesus is the most exciting, fun, and rewarding life that you could ever find. “Jesus saw Nathaniel coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Nathaniel saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. Nathaniel answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.”(John 1:47-50). “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”(John 14:12). “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”(1 Peter 2:9-10).The Bible says during these end times that his children will do great and mighty exploits and he will pour out his spirit on all flesh. “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel 11:32). “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:” (Joel 2:28). So hang on tight to Jesus, strap yourself in with the word, because Gods mighty roller coaster is stopping at the station to pick up a new group of passengers soon to be taking out of the station and your in for a thrilling time culminating with the Rapture and Marriage Supper of the Lamb which is the beginning of another great adventure following Jesus. He is calling you to get on board. Just like a loving Father who loves us and loves to surprise with His Blessings, and good things. Seems like my son James is like this too because he loves to inspire his children with new blessings and places to go see all the time. Ready to go, Ready to stay, Ready my place to fill. Ready for service lowly or great, Ready to do his will. Remember our purpose is to Love the Lord and enjoy his creation forever and to help others to do the same. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9).
Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me your peace. Amen.
