VAIN THOUGHTS

I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.” (Psalm 119:113). “Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: (dross means the impurities that are removed and discarded after, gold and other precious metals are refined in the hot fires of the metal worker), therefore I love thy testimonies. My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.” (Psalm 119:119-120). This is one of the major problems in the World today, people have little to no fear of God. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” (1John 4:18). “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”(John 3:36). You can’t keep the birds from flying over your head, but you can keep them from landing, and making a nest in your hair. So it is with vain thoughts sent from the Devil and his demons, designed to waste your time and even destroy you.Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (1Peter 5:8). Like the little child said, “If a thought tells me to do good, then it is from God, but if it tells me to do evil and bad, then it is from the Devil!” “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:8). Our best hope is to stay focused in our minds and heart, and thoughts on Jesus and his WORD. Jesus faught the Devil by quoting the Scriptures to him. “Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.” (Matthew 4:7-11). Jesus said, “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.”(John 15:3). Would you rather go into battle with a dull butter knife or a strong twoedged sword. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12). Since you know that you are going to have to go into battle against the Devil and his demon armies shouldn’t you be sharpening your sword by memorizing and reviewing the scriptures? Just like a soldier who cleans and prepares his weapon for battle! An idol, or idle mind is the Devils work shop! What we listen to determines what we are and will be! Remember this when you are responsible for teaching your children. “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (2 Corinthians 10:5). “The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.” (Proverbs 21:5) “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8). When we enter into the World of thoughts we are entering into the Spirit World. BE CAUTIOUS, CAREFULL, AND PRAYERFULL OUT THERE!!!

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me your peace. Amen.
