“Thus saith the Lord The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my foot stool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?” (Isaiah 66:1).

“Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,”(Acts 7:48).

“The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, stand in the gate of the Lord’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the Lord. Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the Lord. The temple of the Lord. The temple of the Lord are these. For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; if ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever. Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit. Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not; and come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations? Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the Lord. But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel. And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the Lord and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not; therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh. And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim. Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.” (Jeremiah 7:1-16).

There was a time in The Old Testamate when God’s glory called the “Shekinal Glory” came to rest around the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies in Soloman’s Temple before Jesus Christ came. “ And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.”(1Kings 8:10-11). Have you ever experienced the Shekinal Glory? You can if you seek the Lord with all your heart. “Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:12-13). “Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house. And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the Lord saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.”(2 Chronicles 7:1-3).

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”(1 Corinthians 6:19-20). “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25). “And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves, and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.”(Matthew 21:12-13). The word Church means ,The Called Out People, not a building.“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20).Beloved we all need to listen to these words from the Lord and amend our ways. Just ask him to show you in prayer and listen to His still small voice. The Lord will show each of us personally in what ways we need to amend. May we always remember that the building is for a meeting place and keep it in the right perspective for we are Jesus’s Church and not the building. It is a blessing to have a nice functional place to go to meet and Fellowship and Pray, and learn God’s Word, but we don’t worship the building, only Jesus and thereby we enter into God’s Presence and the Presence of the Holy Ghost. “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”(Acts 2:1-4).

Dear Jesus, I want to know you and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I believe you are the Only Begotten Son of God, and you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Savior. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
