“As THE heart panteth after the waterbrooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.My soul thirsteth for God,for the Living God: When shall I come and appear before God.?”(Psalm 42:1-2).The Bible says that King David was “a man after Gods own heart.”(Acts 13:22). I wonder, do we really thirst and pant after Jesus and his love, and truth like a deer pants after the waterbrooks after running through the forest? Maybe we should all ask ourselves this question? Maybe we should ask the Lord this question about ourselves, and listen to his still small voice? Or are we complacent, and non chalant, not that concerned, not that hungry and thirsty as we should be? Or are there other intrests and persuits that are more important to us and consume our time? Jesus knows that we have to do certain things, like make a living, but we can make time to seek him. We can pray without ceasing no matter what else we are doing. Jesus said, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousnesss: for they shall be filled.”(Mathew 5:6).“ I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” (Revelation 22:16,17).Jesus told the woman at the well “Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:But whosoever drinketh of the water that I give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”(John 4:13,14).”He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters.”(John 7:38). The ancients believed that the belly was the seat of the spirit. So the more we hunger and thirst after God and his Spirit and love and truth, and His word, then the more he will pour out on us so we can pour out to others, amen? As you pour out he will pour in and we can never out pour him. “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”(II Timothy 2:2).
Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
