WINSOME AND WITNESSING

Witnessing is more important than winning people. We are more accountable to the Lord to Witness than we are to win because each person must make his or her own decision about our witness and give account to the Lord themselves with what truth has been revealed to them. This is our job to deliver the truth. Jesus said, “If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.”(John 15:22). Do you understand and receive this truth? You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. It is called choice, free will. Jesus said, “And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”(Revelation 22:17b). “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”(Matthew 11:28-29). The Lord loves volunteers, not forced robots. Leave something up to the Holy Spirit. Our job is to deliver the message. We will win very few compared to the multitudes we witness too. “preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”(2 Timothy 4:2). Some sow and some reap. “And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.”(John 4:37-38). Remember if you love Jesus feed his sheep. He told Peter this 3 times. “So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.”(John 21:15-17). It is all laid out for them in www.answersintheword.com and the Bible and some are 10%, some are 20%, some are 100%. We can’t legislate righteousness or force people to want the truth. It is the GIFT of GOD. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”(Ephesians 2:8-9).

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins, and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen
