WHAT IS THE NAME OF YOUR STAKE ?

Once upon a time there was a young boy who was given a young pet eagle. He wanted to keep the Eagle as a pet, so he decided to pound a big stake into the ground and put a chain on his pet eagles leg, and chain him up to the stake so he wouldn’t t fly away. Well as time went by the young boy grew up and so did his chained pet eagle, who would walk constantly around in a circle, around the stake he was chained too. One day the man saw his chained eagle pet walking constantly around in a circle around that stake, and he felt sorry for him, because he wasn’t able to fly and be free like all the other birds flying around over him, so he went and took the chain off of the chained eagles leg. The eagle was so surprised that he was finally free that he took off and flew around. After a short while the eagle flew back and began walking around in a circle again around the big stake, even though he was no longer chained. Isn’t that the way most of us are? The Lord sets us free from our chains and stake and we are so glad that we fly off and try our wings and enjoy our new found freedom, and then we come back to our old ways and habits and continue on in the same circle. Lord help us to follow you Jesus and break free of our old ways and habits that are not good for us, and fly like the eagles.Amen?but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 49:31). Is Jesus trying to set you free? Are you going to be like that eagle who came back and kept walking around that stake after Jesus has set you free? What is the name, or names of your stake? “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.”(John 8:32). “Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house forever: but the Son abideth forever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” ( John 8:34-36).

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
