REPENT OR PERISH

“There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilæans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilæans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:1-5). So there you have it, Jesus himself said; Repent or Perish! Just like John The Baptist and really all the Prophets said this, Jesus also said; in John 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” Beloved let me say unto you that the problem with the world today is that they have no fear of God, A good healthy fear of God is a good thing for all of us to have. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:” (Proverbs 9:10a). “but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”(Isaiah 59:2). Don’t trade anything for the true peace, joy, and happiness that only comes from being right with the Lord.

What things in your life is the Devil using to keep you from that joy and happiness and peace, that Jesus wants to bring into your life. Ask him and he will show you and he will tell you, because he loves you and wants the best for you. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.”(Jeremiah 29:11-12). “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”(Matthew 11:28-30). “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6:37). Jesus is waiting for you with his arms wide open, won’t you come to him now? “Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.” (Psalm 103:13-14).

Won’t you say this prayer with me now: “Dear Jesus I want to be right with you and receive the Joy and happiness and peace that only comes from you, please forgive me and speak to me about the things in my life that are keeping me away from you, please forgive me of all my sins and restore unto me the Joy of your Salvation, and fill me with the Holy Spirit.”

Being square and right with God is really not that odd, in fact I think it’s pretty good and I really think you should, just try Him out.

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
