I HOPE YOU are doing both, letting Jesus INCREASE IN YOU and yourself decreasing. “He must increase, but I must decrease.” (John 3:30). “Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.”(1Timothy 1:16).“being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” (Philippians 1:6). I hope and pray that when my kids and people I know see me again that they will think that I have sure changed and that I am more kind and loving and patient and full of Faith and Peace, like Jesus. (Ephesians 4:32) says… “and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” “I am no longer I.” (Galatians 2:20) says… “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” That is my goal, to follow Jesus and be more like him everyday. The Bible says in (Matthew 6:33), “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”(John 17:3). If we are not happy it is because we are not letting Jesus increase in us. By doing this we can have a little bit of Heaven right now. “knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”(James 1:3-4). “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”(Matthew 22:37-40). “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30).I just want more of Jesus in my life, I hope you do too.
