ISAIAH THE PROPHET part 2

The Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew, and the New Testament in Greek, and Aramaic. The Old Testament was translated into Greek in 250 B.C. It was called the Septuagint. In 1947 at Ain Fashkha about seven miles south of Jericho, one mile west of the Dead Sea, some Bedouins looking for a lost goat found a cave containing a number of clay jars with scrolls in them, they turned them over to Saint Mark’s Syrian Orthodox Convent in Jerusalem, who turned them over to the American Schools of Oriental research. Today they are located in a Museum in Israel. They are known today as the Dead Sea Scrolls, Probably the most amazing archaeological find in history so far. The Book of Isaiah was also found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. It was a 24 foot scroll written in Hebrew. It is the same as the Book of Isaiah super naturally identical as the King James Bible today, with out the thee’s and the thou’s of course. The Parchment that it was written on was scientifically dated to the second century B.C. It is a voice from the past, over 2000 years ago preserved by the Hand of God, and it proves the Bible has not been changed. Here are some of my favorite verses, great for memorizing, found in the Book of Isaiah. “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lordthough your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. “( Isaiah 1:18).To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is is because there is no light in them.” ( Isaiah 8:20).” And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.” ( Isaiah 11:11-14). This specific prophecy was fulfilled in 1967 during the “Six Day War” between Israel and the Arabs when the Israeli jets flew over the Gaza Strip (“the Philistines toward the west”) and destroyed the Egyptian air force and their armies  in the desert. Remember this was written over 2000 years before the first airplane was built. Also The Jews came back from all over the world the second time and became a nation again in May 14,1948. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”( Isaiah 26:3).

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
