HAVE YOU ENTERED INTO GOD’S PEACE & REST ?

Did you know that the Sabbath or the seventh day or what we celebrate on Sunday actually means rest, or the rest of God? God rested on the seventh day after he created the earth and everything else. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior you have entered into the Sabbath or the rest of God, because you have ceased from your own labour or works of trying to attain righteousness or Heaven. “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.”(Hebrews 4:9,10). “Jesus answered and said unto them. This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.“(John 6:29).So if you have asked Jesus to come into your heart then you have entered into God’s Sabbath and into his rest, and you know that you are saved by his grace, and not by your own struggles and works.“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast.”(Ephesians 2:8,9). We as saved, born again, Jesus Christ believers, can celebrate the sabbath every day not just on Sunday, which by the way is not even the Sabbath. Saturday is the Sabbath of the old Testament. Isn’t it nice to have God’s rest and to know that you are saved and don’t have to worry about that? All you have to do is believe and put your trust in him, that he has saved you and will work everything out that needs to be worked out. Have you entered into God’s rest yet? “Consider the Lilies of the field, how they grow: they toil not neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”(Matthew 6: 28,29).“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”(Matthew 11: 28- 30).You can have peace in the midst of a storm through the prince of peace Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Sabbath. What a joy to find. What a peace of mind!!! “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” (James 1:4).“And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat. And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, and stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.  There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?  Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.  And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.  My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.  And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.  And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?  And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.” (Luke 7:36-50).

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
