TO OBEY GOD OR MAN?

“I counsel thee to keep the kings commandments, and that in regard of the oath of God.” (Ecclesiastes 8:2).To me this verse is saying to us to obey the laws of man, but we had better remember the oath of God or what we have pledged to God first, like preaching the Gospel, and that is where we draw the line, and don’t have to obey man, when they say to not obey God and preach the Word. “Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.” (II Timothy 4:2). This is not a suggestion. This is a Commandment ! Jesus said, “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels”. (Mark 8: 38). Some people use this as an excuse and say I shouldn’t preach the Word because the government said not to, and I have to obey them because it says so in Romans Chapter 13 verses 1 -7 which says, “LET every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resiseth the ordinances of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.”  “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (II Timothy 2:15). Don’t let the Devil trick you into using these verses as a cop out and steal your blessing, and souls. What we as Christians do is so important. “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution ..” (II Timothy 3:12).
If they arrested you for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I  believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
