THE PURE GOLD

“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”  (1 Peter 1:7). Living for Jesus is like gold. When gold is dug out of the earth it hast to be refined, which means putting it on a fire. They put the gold into a cast iron pot, and put a hot fire under it. When the gold melts all the dross and impurities come to the top and they are removed, leaving only the pure gold. The hotter the fire the purer the gold. So, if you are going through the fire, try to consider it a blessing in disguise, because maybe God is allowing this to happen to you to make you a better Christian for Jesus. Is someone, or something in your life like a refiner to you? Maybe you are also a refiner to them. Don’t run away from God’s refining process, or complain about it. Meet it with JOY, and consider the out come. “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God,” (Hebrews 12:2). “Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, sliver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” (I Corinthians 3:12-15). “And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.” (Zechariah 13:9). “And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.” ((Malachi 3:3). I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.” (Isaiah 13:12). “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” (James 1:2-4)

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
