Letting Go and Holding On

When is the right time to let go? This question might be something  we need to seek God’s guidance on when we are faced with so much burden it feels over whelming. God’s word says; “casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (I Peter 5:7). If your daily life has become to heavy laiden with problems and burdens that keep you away from the peace and rest you have been given through Jesus, then maybe you have taken on more than the Lord wants you to carry. The Lord said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30). No amount of medication, drugs, alcohol can compare to the peace and rest Jesus Christ offers. He knows our frame , he knows our every weakness. He is personally acquainted with  grief. “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:3-6). I don’t know about you, but I just want a simple life, with low stress. This is what Jesus offers us. If you have too much stress in your life, this can be very unhealthy for you, and you need to do something about it. Get rid of the problem, or problems, or rid yourself from the problem people. It has been said it is better to pray them out than to throw them out.” He that is able to receive this, let him receive it. Are you still seeking relief ? Maybe you should read this again. Turn to Jesus in prayer. He wants to help you because he loves you and cares about what you are going through. We are weak, but he is strong. Don’t let anything, or anyone steal your JOY !!!
