“BECOME ALL THINGS TO ALL MEN”

“For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; to them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the Gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.” (1 Corinthians 9:19-23). It really helps when you are trying to witness to someone to lead them to Jesus if you pray and ask the Lord for the gift of discernment to hear and see the background of the people you are trying to win to Jesus. It helps many times to try and get on their level and reach out to them and find some common ground to relate on and even make friends with them. “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” (Proverbs 18:24). Maybe it’s time that we looked at things differently concerning all the multitudes of people who are coming across the borders. Yes there are some who want to do evil and bring in drugs and trafficking and terrorism and they need to be checked out, but for the most part many are just trying to survive and looking for a better life for themselves and their families. We as Christians need to look upon them as Jesus did; “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:36-38). Could it be that the Lord is letting them come here so that you and I can tell them about Jesus and get them saved? There is no greater power than the love of Jesus Christ, and the preaching of the Cross. Dear Lord Jesus, Where there is fear let me bring comfort. Where there is darkness let me bring light. Where there is discouragement let me bring hope. Where there is evil and hate let me bring Love and Salvation.

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
