Encouragement

When King David’s two wives were taken prisoner by the Amalekites and the wives of his men and their children. David and his soldiers wept desperately and cried “until they had no more power in them to weep.” David’s soldiers even were talking about stoning him, because they blamed him for what happened. David sought the Lord, and it says “David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.” And the Lord helped him to get his wives and all the wives and children back of his men and didn’t loose one. There is a great lesson here in 1st Samuel Chapter 30. So when discouragement comes, it is OK to weep, but we need to turn to the Lord, and not to any other thing, or person. Then the Lord will bring about the victory. Discouragement is the opposite of encouragement Discouragement is one of the devil’s favorite weapons to try and get you to stop serving the Lord, and get your eyes off of Jesus, and winning souls. The devil’s demons will tell you that you can’t be a missionary or a preacher of the Gospel, because you are not good enough for God to use you, but the fact is no one is good or prefect  enough. We are all men of like passion. We are all filthy mensterous rags, and sinners. ” He puts no trust in his saints, even the Heavens are unclean in his sight.” (Job 15:15). Some people even listen to the devil so much that they want to end their life. That is the enemy’s ultimate goal to destroy you, and your witness, and service for the Lord. When you talk to people in that frame of mind, tell them if you want to throw your life away, why not give it for a worthy cause in helping others to know Jesus? Many people get discouraged after the loss of a loved one. One of the best ways to overcome, and fight that, is to immerse yourself into God’s Word and service, so that you just have no time to sit around and listen to the enemy’s discouragement. This counsel is easier to say than to do, but it is the best I can give you. Lord help us not to seek to be comforted, but seek to comfort, not seek to be consoled, but to console, for it is only when we take our eyes off our selves, and our own misery, and look to ease the pain of others that we can find peace and even happiness.“He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” (Matthew 10: 39). “ The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite (crushed) spirit.” (Psalm 34:18). “ He was a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:” (Isaiah 53:3b) .It is much easier to be a blaster, or a  Prophet of doom, than to be a healer of wounds, a teacher of babes, and a Shepherd of lambs. Encouragement is a very much needed ministry in this world today with so much stress and sorrow out there. Jesus went about everywhere doing good. God’s love way, is the best way. Beloved pray for the gift of encouragement, and be like Jesus Amen?

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
