ARE YOU JESUS’S FAIR WEATHER FRIEND?

Do you love, praise, and thank the Lord when all goes well, and we are in good health and the blessings are flowing? I think sometimes the Lord turns off or down the springs or the flow of God’s blessings to test us, and to see if we will still love Him, and bless Him, and thank Him, and praise Him. The Bible says, “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof and be glad.” (Psalm 34:1-2). We need to praise Him at all times, good or bad. Please Him by praising Him even if you don’t feel like it. “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” (Psalm 34:19). “Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless, afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; and make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.”(Hebrews 12:11-13). “We love Him, because He first loved us.”(1 John 4:19). Jesus said, “ for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:5b). “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”(Philippians 4:13). So if you just feel you can’t praise the Lord because of the situation you are going through and it’s just to hard just ask Jesus to help you to praise Him and He will, and just do it by faith, because “without faith it is impossible to please Him.”(Hebrews 11:6). All love comes from God. There are three main types of LOVE in the Greek language, Agape, (God’s Love) Eros, (Love for pleasure), and Philia (Love for self and other pursuits). Lord help us to keep Agape Love First ! “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”( Matthew 22:37-39).

We can’t see Love, it is an invisible force, but we sure can see and feel the results of Love. “whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:”(1 Peter 1:8).

Look at Job he was tested to the brink of death and even lost his family and his wealth and health, even his wife told him to curse God and die. Yet Job said; “Though he slay me yet will I trust Him”(Job 13:15a), and the Lord restored all to him even better. Job was the first Book written in the Bible, even before the Book Genesis. Was God trying to tell us something? “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”(James 1:2-4). “that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” (1Peter 1:7). Jesus help us to be thankful for everything, even the good and the bad. This is easier said than done, but by God’s grace and help we can do it. “Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit.”( 1 Thessalonians 5:17-19). Remember Romans 8:28 when your going thru it.“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

” WE HAVE COME THIS FAR BY FAITH LEANING ON THE LORD TRUSTING IN HIS HOLY WORD, HE’S NEVER FAILED US YET !!!

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
