A DIFFERENT WAY TO LOOK AT THINGS

Are sufferings and afflictions, and grief a blessing? “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” (Psalm 34:19). The Lord promises us in his Word that we will have how many afflictions? MANY! How many of these afflictions does he promise us that he will deliver us from? ALL OF THEM! ” For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.” (Philippians 1:29).The Bible tells us that sufferings are given to us. So we should be thankful for the things that are given to us, Amen? “Even the Son learned obedience through the things which he suffered” ( Hebrews 5:8).). ” Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith: who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2). “My brethren count it all joy when ye fall into diverse temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire wanting nothing.” (James 1:2-4). Jesus was “a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.” (Isaiah 53:5).“The Lord is neigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite (crushed) spirit.” (Psalm 34:18).“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flames kindle upon thee.” (Isaiah 43:2). “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”(IThessalonians 5:16-18).  Life can make you bitter or better, depending on how you handle it.And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.” ( Matthew 21:44). Beloved if we look at sorrow and grief and suffering in the light of these scriptures we can see things more clearly and in a whole new perspective, and it will help us to get through these times, Amen? Trials of your faith come to make you strong in the Lord. “that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” (1 Peter 1:7).

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
