Living For Jesus (part 2)

26) James 2:26 “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
27) II Timothy 2:4 “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. Jesus called us to be in the world, but not of the world. The most fulfilling, the most exciting, the most fun, the most rewarding, and important job is following Jesus. No matter what else you are doing. The devil is always trying to sidetrack and entangle you with the affairs of this world, and it is a constant battle daily just to keep focused on the Lord and winning lost souls and feeding the sheep.
28) Nehemiah 8:10b “for this day is holy unto the Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
29) II Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” Teach others, to teach others.
30)I Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice evermore, Pray without Ceasing, In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
31) Matthew 22:37-39 “Jesus said unto him,THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF.” God’s law is Love. (see I Corinthians Chapter 13).
32) I Samuel 12:24 “Only fear the Lord and serve him in truth with all of your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.”
33) Proverbs 24:16a “A just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.” Just remember you might lose a few battles along the way but you haven’t lost the war, and we know how that is going to turn out.
34) Matthew 18: 21,22 “Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times. Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”
35) Matthew 5:2-12 “And he opened his mouth, and taught them saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”
36) II Timothy 2: 2,3 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”
37) ll Timothy 2: 24,25a “And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;”
38) Ephesians 6:6,7 “Not with eye service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service as to the Lord, and not to men:
39) I Corinthians 10:31 “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
40) Philippians 4:11 “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”
41) Ephesians 4: 32 “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
42) Galatians 6:2 “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
43) Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
44) Proverbs 3:5,6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
45) Romans 1:17 “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”
46) Galatians 3:11 “But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”
47) Matthew 10: 36-39 “And A MAN’S FOES SHALL BE THEY OF HIS OWN HOUSEHOLD. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”
48) Acts 5:42 “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.”
49) John 15:4,5 “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

HOW DEEP ARE YOU?

You are in too deep, you know too much especially if you have read www.answersintheword.com. You are accountable and you will be even more accountable if you don’t learn more when you have the opportunity. “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!” (Romans 11:33). You will never be normal according to this world’s standards. You will never be the same once your eyes have been opened to THE TRUTH! “And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables.” (Mark 4:11). One way I have of always been able to determine how deep, and sincere a person is. Is how they react after being taught DANIEL CHAPTER 9. Do they whole heartily go after it, and study it to get a clear understanding, and when they do, do they tell everybody about it that they can? Can you teach a Daniel 9 class? It’s probably the most important life changing and faith building and eye-opening Prophecy in the Bible proving when the Messiah, Jesus Christ would come and proving that the rest of the Bible is true and will come to pass !

Amen.

I AM NO LONGER I !!!

One day a man was walking down the street, an old girlfriend came running up to him and said “My dear tizz I, tizz” I, but he answered back and said, but I am no longer I. That is the way it should be when people haven’t seen us for a while, they should think my he or she has truly changed, they don’t seem like the same person anymore, we should be getting more like Jesus every day. More KIND, and LOVING, HUMBLE, and ENCOURAGING. Jesus said, “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” (John 8:29). “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48). Jesus knows that we will never be totally perfect and always be in the spirit, like He is in everything He does and says, but this is something we can strive and live for, not for self-righteous, but because we want to please the Lord and make him happy in all we say and do. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13). “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63). “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” (Proverbs 15:3). “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” (Psalms 139:7). Jesus is always with us, he never leaves us or forsakes us, or sleeps. “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5). Do you hear the Lord’s conviction speaking to you? The Holy Spirit is given to those that obey God and the more we obey the Lord then the more of the Holy Spirit is poured out upon us “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.”(Acts 5:32). Don’t be like those that harden their hearts. “while it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.” (Hebrews 3:15). “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:” (1Timothy 4:1-4). The more we listen to the Holy Spirit, the more like Jesus we will be, and the Lord can use us more and the happier we will be. “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Let Jesus renew you every day. “not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” (Titus 3:5). “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.” (Lamentations 3:22). Have Communion often. After all it’s the only tradition that Jesus commanded us to keep. “And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the New Testament in my Blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.” (1 Corinthians 11:24-25).

EXERCISE  DAILY, WALK WITH THE LORD!

What if everybody tried to be like Jesus? Then we would have a little bit of Heaven right here. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7). Claim his blood over you to receive his forgivness. It’s so exciting to think about the future the Lord has for us. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Amen.

SOMETHING TO REALIZE

” and I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” (Jeremiah 3:15). Titles are not what counts with Jesus, It’s the one that gets the job done that counts! “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;” (Ephesians 4:11). “My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.” (James 3:1-2). “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?” (Ezekiel 34:2). “Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.” (Ezekiel 34:10). “These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;” (Jude 1:12).”And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.(2Timothy 2:2). “In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. (Titus 2:7-8).And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; (Ephesians 4:11). “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;(2Timothy 4:3). So if you desire to be a Leader, Pastor, Teacher, or Minister of the Gospel you have desired a good calling, and you should consider and understand all these verses. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”(2 Corinthians 5:10). If God has called, you to be a fisher of men go ahead by faith and do it. He will help you and give you the grace and wisdom and annotating of The Holy Ghost. If you hear his call don’t delay, because Ye are chosen by the Lord. “For many are called, but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22:14). Because few choose to be chosen. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.  And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. (Daniel 12:2-3).Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.(John 4:35). “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.(John 9:4). “So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.(John 21:15-17). This is the way we show Jesus we Love him. By doing what he says. People don’t Realize all that a Farmer has to go through to bring his crops to market. You just go to the store and buy it and gobble it up Not Realizing all that the farmer had to go through to bring that fruit to you. But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.(Isaiah 64:8).But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. (Matthew 23:11).

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me your peace. Amen.

Why We Memorize

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. ” (Psalms 119:11). Why do we believe in memorizing the Scriptures? Well it says,”That I might not sin against thee”. Well this is certainly a main reason to memorize to help us to get close to Jesus, and God, and The Holy Spirit, The Trinity our Heavenly Family. Are you desperate for God? “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.” (Psalms 42:1). Memorizing scripture will help you to have good dreams. “For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, that he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.”(Job 33:14-18). Dreams come from the Multitudes of Business.

For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.” (Ecclesiastes 5:3). When I can’t sleep I pray for everyone and everything that comes to me and then I review my verses on my bed and then I usually fall into a peaceful sleep unless the Lord puts in my heart to get up and write a teaching like this one at 2:15 AM for you. I like to put many scripture verses in these teachings so the sheep can be fed spiritually. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.”(John 21:15-17). Jesus told Peter this 3 consecutive times. Feeding the Sheep is the way we show Jesus that we love him.

Start out with one to three verses a day. You can write them down on a 3 X 5 card and keep it in your pocket or around your neck and go over it every hour and at the end of the day you still may not have it down good yet, but by tomorrow morning when you wake up, you should have it down pretty good because it will be ingrained in your subconscious. Jesus said, “ Now ye are clean through the Word which I have spoken unto you.” (John 15:3). The Word will clean your mind and Spirit and give you Faith. “ So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17).The Word will keep you on the right path, you may get lost off the path for a little while in the darkness, but you can always find your way back home because, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalms 119:105). So if you want to make Jesus happy and yourself, memorize. The Law of Memory is repetition, so review often so you don’t loose what you have memorized and get rusty. Don’t throw those 3 X 5 cards away, put them in a 3 X 5 card box to review and snack on. “Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.” (Job 23:12) Your not suppose live to eat, but to eat to live, get a good balance. Jesus wants you to memorize and review and he will bless you if you do. If you memorize this list of verses you should be able to answer most any question people ask you with the Word. “ but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” (1 Peter 3:15). Use healthy food, The A.K.J.V. You have just been given the key to a door that will open to you a New World of, Love Joy, Peace, Fun, and Faith and Power so God can mighty use you in these End Times. “And they that understand among the people shall instruct many:” (Daniel 11:33a). Remember in many Countries the Bible is outlawed and someday soon you might be in that situation, and the only Scriptures that you will have is what you have memorized. Remember the Words of our Lord Jesus Christ. “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John 9:4).

I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me your peace. Amen.

EXPERIENCE!

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:” (Proverbs 1:5). “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.” (Proverbs 27:12). One of the most needed abilities is availability and also experience. A Wise man will learn from his own mistakes but a Wiser man will learn from the mistakes of others. Experience is a better teacher but often a bitter teacher. Listening to the voice of experience from those who have gone before you is often a better short cut. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6). “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”(Amos 3:7). Do you want to be successful and prosperrous? The Bible tells us how. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:8). “Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” (Deuteronomy 5:16). “The only thing we learn from History is that we never learn from History.” Toynbee said. The reason we study History is to learn from the mistakes of others. “He that can not learn from History is doomed to repeat it.” We also study History to prove the Bible. Why must we learn the hard way? Beloved try and take the advice from those that love you and have experience and want to help you, or you can go your own way and learn it the hard way. Don’t leave school before the bell rings. Be a faithful steward of what the Lord has made you to be responsible over. “His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:23). Jesus said, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:4-5). Beloved a lot of the mistakes you have made and will make in the future can be avoided if you would just listen and act on the counsel given to you. Just make sure it goes along with the WORD OF GOD, the BIBLE, THE AUTHORIZED KING JAMES VERSION
!

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me your peace. Amen.

Giving

Jesus said, “give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” (Luke 6:38). You can’t out give God, he will top your sacrifice every time. Jesus gave his all for God and he said follow me. In the “Old Testament” a 10% tithe was required, but Jesus said, “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.”(Luke 14:33). “So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.” (Luke 17:10). We are no longer under the Old Testament.Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.” (Romans 7:4). We are New Testament Christians. “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7). He wants us to give voluntarily according to our faith. Jesus told us

The Story of the Widows Mite”And Jesus sat over against the treasury and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make afarthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: for all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.” (Mark 12:41-44). We only teach that each person should give what he or she has the faith to give, and that we give as unto the Lord. The Lord said some are 10% some are 20% some are 100%. We are to give happily and cheerfully from our hearts not hoping to receive. Jesus also tells us, “And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.” (Matthew 10:42). We must be careful were we give that it does the most good to preach the true Gospel of Jesus Christ unto all the World. Not false doctrine but the truth backed up by the Word of God to get the best results, or the biggest bang for your buck. There are many good causes, but the best is to give for the truth to be taken to the whole World to fulfill the great commission. “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15). Ask the Lord to show you were and to whom to give. Jesus said, “For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.”(Matthew 26:11). “A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.” (Luke 8:5-15). It’s like the old Preacher said “The Gospel is free, but it costs something to pipe it to you”. When the Lord calls us home and we stand before him would you rather say “I gave to a great ministry that built golden Cathedrals and buildings in your name or thank you Jesus for helping me to give to a ministry that was teaching the true Gospel into all the World”. Do you know of any teachings that teach more truth than www.answersintheword.com? If so, please let us know so that we can get behind them and support and help them. “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” (Mark 8:36-38). King David said I will not give unto the Lord that with has cost me nothing.

Amen.

Unusual, and Extenuating Circumstances?

Maria, my daughter-in-law told me just the other day “we sure do move a lot” I told her “yes, I guess that is one of our problems.” Seems like we are always on the move.” Jesus said, “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8). “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19). If there’s anything I’ve learned in my brief time of life of serving the Lord of some 50 + years, is that God always has something up his sleeve, something new that surprises me. You never know what He’s going to do next. It’s like the old preacher said “I have been in the way for 50 years” Well it’s about time I got out of the way so I don’t get ran over. You can be on track, but if you stay still you’ll eventually get run into and over. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9).So don’t sew your sleeping bag to your mattress or get stuck in a rut, because the Lord may have something else in store for you. Bigger or smaller. However there are no smaller things of God, Because everything we do or say effects someone, some where and their eternal state of being. “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (2Timothy 3:1-5). Living for Jesus is the most exciting, fun, and rewarding life that you could ever find. “Jesus saw Nathaniel coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Nathaniel saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. Nathaniel answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.”(John 1:47-50). “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”(John 14:12). “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”(1 Peter 2:9-10).The Bible says during these end times that his children will do great and mighty exploits and he will pour out his spirit on all flesh. “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel 11:32). “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:” (Joel 2:28). So hang on tight to Jesus, strap yourself in with the word, because Gods mighty roller coaster is stopping at the station to pick up a new group of passengers soon to be taking out of the station and your in for a thrilling time culminating with the Rapture and Marriage Supper of the Lamb which is the beginning of another great adventure following Jesus. He is calling you to get on board. Just like a loving Father who loves us and loves to surprise with His Blessings, and good things. Seems like my son James is like this too because he loves to inspire his children with new blessings and places to go see all the time. Ready to go, Ready to stay, Ready my place to fill. Ready for service lowly or great, Ready to do his will. Remember our purpose is to Love the Lord and enjoy his creation forever and to help others to do the same. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Responsibility

Most people who are business owners or managers or leaders have a deep sense of responsibility. They are concerned about the people they work for and the people that work for them. They are concerned that they do a good job because that is a reflection on them personally and their relationship to Jesus Christ, and their witness and testimony. People should look at us and say “there is something different about these folks.” They are concerned about their employees and making their payroll, and making their clients and customers happy first of all, and paying their bills before even themselves . This feeling of responsibility comes from God who made us and all things. It’s like birds who take long flights during the winter out of instinct knowing that it must be done to survive and flourish at great personal sacrifice and even danger. In other words it’s not a natural thing that the flesh wants to do. “Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:36-41). “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” (Galatians 5:17). The flesh just wants to flesh out and be a couch potato but the spirit wants to rise up and go on to greater victories for Jesus.

This personal sacrifice gives leaders a great sense of satisfaction and even JOY in helping others. Remember a great way to spell and receive JOY is Jesus Others and You. We need to pray and ask Jesus to give us a sense of Responsibility knowing that we will all appear before Jesus Christ. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10). Will he say unto you “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”(Matthew 25:23). This is what we all should be living for, is to hear Jesus say this unto us personally!

VAIN THOUGHTS

I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.” (Psalm 119:113). “Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: (dross means the impurities that are removed and discarded after, gold and other precious metals are refined in the hot fires of the metal worker), therefore I love thy testimonies. My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.” (Psalm 119:119-120). This is one of the major problems in the World today, people have little to no fear of God. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” (1John 4:18). “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”(John 3:36). You can’t keep the birds from flying over your head, but you can keep them from landing, and making a nest in your hair. So it is with vain thoughts sent from the Devil and his demons, designed to waste your time and even destroy you.Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (1Peter 5:8). Like the little child said, “If a thought tells me to do good, then it is from God, but if it tells me to do evil and bad, then it is from the Devil!” “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:8). Our best hope is to stay focused in our minds and heart, and thoughts on Jesus and his WORD. Jesus faught the Devil by quoting the Scriptures to him. “Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.” (Matthew 4:7-11). Jesus said, “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.”(John 15:3). Would you rather go into battle with a dull butter knife or a strong twoedged sword. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12). Since you know that you are going to have to go into battle against the Devil and his demon armies shouldn’t you be sharpening your sword by memorizing and reviewing the scriptures? Just like a soldier who cleans and prepares his weapon for battle! An idol, or idle mind is the Devils work shop! What we listen to determines what we are and will be! Remember this when you are responsible for teaching your children. “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (2 Corinthians 10:5). “The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.” (Proverbs 21:5) “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8). When we enter into the World of thoughts we are entering into the Spirit World. BE CAUTIOUS, CAREFULL, AND PRAYERFULL OUT THERE!!!
