PROOF THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD ! Part 1

“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: “(II Peter 1:19). Peter who walked with Jesus and lived with Jesus and saw him do all his miracles: said that he had a more sure way of believing than all the experiences that he had with Jesus personally. The more sure way of believing that Peter had, and was talking about is fulfilled prophecy. There are over 300 hundred prophecy’s about Jesus in the Old Testament. Here are just a few: “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”(Isaiah 7:14). Immanuel means; “God with us”. Jesus was born of a virgin: (Mary).“And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1: 26-35). “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” (Micah 5:2) “NOW when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,” (Matthew 2:1). Daniel Chapter 9 is one of the most important, and amazing prophecy’s proving that Jesus is the Messiah. (see our class on Daniel Chapter 9 ). Isaiah Chapter 53, is all about Jesus. I don’t see how anybody especially a Jewish person can read this chapter and not believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, the Messiah! Please read, and memorize this chapter, as it will greatly help you and increase your faith. The Jews took this chapter out of their Bible because it is so obvious that it is about Jesus, however when they found the Dead Sea Scrolls in the year 1947 A.D., written down hundreds of years before Christ, Low and behold the 53rd. Chapter was there with the rest of the Book of Isaiah. For some reason the Jewish people are really hard to wittiness to, and you have to really pray for them, because the devil really fights against their salvation. “And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. ” (II Corinthians 3: 13-15). The Jews are always quoting that verse in Deuteronomy 6:4 where it says; “Hear, Oh Israel : The Lord our God is one Lord.” However in the Hebrew text which this verse was originally written in, the Hebrew word actually used refers to the plural meaning of Lord, which would be actually saying the Lord’s our God are one. Any time you add “im” on a Hebrew word it makes it plural. Elohim means the plural form of the word God. In other words the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, the Trinity are one in Spirit and Unity, and they are also three different persons. A better English translation would have been the Lord’s our God are one. Jesus said, “I and my Father are one.” (John 10:30). Jesus was not saying he was the Father, but that he was one in unity with the Father as well as the Holy Ghost. “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7). Jesus is the Word. “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14),You can actually know Jesus and be closer to him then his disciples were, through studying, and faith in his Word and fulfilled prophecy, and though the Holy Spirit. The 12 disciples didn’t even believe on him (except Peter and possibly James & John) until later in his ministry and after his resurrection, but you can get closer to him by increasing your faith by studying God’s Word, especially Bible Prophecy, a more sure way of knowing, as Peter said. Let these sayings sink down into your spiritual ears of your spiritual being. The Bible is like a great jigsaw puzzle. The purpose of this web site is to help you put the pieces together. Please diligently study all these lessons. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (II Timothy 2:15).

WHERE IS HEAVEN COMING FROM ?

Thirty-five hundred years ago in the book of Job in the Old Testament, (the first book written in the Bible) God gave us two amazing scientific facts in one verse. Job 26:7 says, “He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.” One scientific fact is that the earth is hung in space upon nothing. History tells us that man did not know this, but what man did believe about the earth was scientifically in error. The Egyptians, for example, believed that the earth was a saucer held up by four pillars with a ring of mountains around the edge to keep the water from running off. The Greeks believed that the earth rested upon the back of Atlas. Because this theory was so popular and widespread, we still see its effects today. For example, when you obtain a book of maps it is called an Atlas. The Hindus believed that the earth was carried on an elephant’s back and that the elephant was standing on a turtle swimming in a cosmic sea. When Columbus discovered America in 1492 A.D. most people believed the world was flat, and that if you went to far you would fall off into oblivion.“It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers.” (Isaiah 40:22). Reading this scripture is said to have given Columbus the faith to launch out on his epic voyage to discover the New World.Columbus believed this scripture that the earth was a circle, and was not afraid of falling off if he sailed too far. Amazingly the Bible does not include any myths and fairy tales, but simply stated that the earth was hung upon nothing. Science cannot give us a better description than this. Here is another amazing scientific fact. There is an empty place or void in the north of our universe. It was first discovered with the 200-inch telescope on Mount Palomar, California, and is now being studied by three separate observatories across the country. Lucifer (Satan) in his rebellion (when he tried to overthrow God) spoke of this void in the north. “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the side of the north.” (Isaiah 14:13). This must refer to this empty corridor in the north where there are no stars. Heaven is thought to be originally from there. One fascinating passage is found in Psalms 48:1-2. “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.” Without a doubt, this is a reference to the New Jerusalem and not to the earthly Jerusalem. “But you are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” (Hebrew 12:22). “When the Bible says, “Beautiful for situation,” as the verse continues to explain, it is a reference to the fact that the city is or, was originally located in the north of our universe. From “the sides of the north” God has a beautiful overview of the entire universe and of the whole earth. The Heavenly City described in the book of Revelations Chapter 22 is on it’s way to earth, where it will be located forever after the 1000 years,the Millennium. ( See our class on Revelation Chapters 21 & 22). It appears from a study of the Scriptures that Heaven is or was located in the North in our universe. When they would offer the sacrifices in the Old Testament they would offer them northward toward the Lord. Notice what Moses said in Leviticus 1:11, “And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before the Lord: and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall sprinkle his blood round about upon the altar.” The implication is clear that the Lord was at that time in the north. “Northward before the Lord,” says God’s Word. North is always the same direction from this planet no matter what time of day. If you were to point to the north in the morning, twelve hours later you would still be pointing in the same direction. No matter where the earth is in it’s orbit about the sun, north is always the same direction in relationship to the earth. So no matter what time of day or what time of year, north is always the same direction. One day this New Jerusalem will come down from heaven to the new earth according to Revelation 21:1,2. “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”We saved believers have a home in heaven waiting for us in this Heavenly City, the New Jerusalem. Jesus tells us, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:2,3).

THE JEWISH TEMPLE IN BIBLE PROPHECY

“Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.”( Isaiah 44:8). “That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.”( Isaiah 44:28).”THUS SAITH the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;” ( Isaiah 45:1). These prophecies were written by Isaiah the prophet who was sawed in half by his enemies. Isaiah prophesied from 745-695 B.C., Isaiah died 150 years before the days of King Cyrus of the Persian Empire. Cyrus reigned from 538-529 B.C. The leaved gates are referring to the Babylon Empire, which he conquered with the Medes. Isaiah spoke of Cyrus before he was even born,even naming him by his name, Cyrus. King Cyrus permitted the Jews to return to Jerusalem, and issued a decree authorizing and allowing the rebuilding of the Temple. The commandment to restore and build Jerusalem was later given by King Artaxerxes of Persia in 457 B.C. Fulfilling the beginning of the great prophecy of Daniel Chapter 9.( see our class on Daniel Chapter 9 for an in depth study of this amazing and important prophecy concerning Jesus.) “Now in the first year of Cyrus King of Persia, that the word of the Lord spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus King of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus King of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the Lord God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.” (II Chronicles 36:22,23a). This proclamation from Cyrus was concerning the second Temple after the first one was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon in 586 B.C. The Jewish Temple has always been an important part of Bible Prophecy, especially in The End-times.The second Temple which was finished during the time of King Herod of Jerusalem, was destroyed in 70 A.D. By the Romans, lead by General Titus of the Roman Empire. The third and final Temple is soon to be rebuilt, and the devil possessed anti-Christ will rule from there, proclaiming himself God. The Jews want to rebuild the Temple, where the Mosque of Omar now stands. Called the Dome of the Rock ,which is built over the rock said to be the place where Abraham was going to offer Isaac upon, and where the Muslims believe that Mohammad ascended to heaven upon a horse. However recently some new information has been revealed which is being debated, that the Temple destroyed by the Romans was actually near the Dome of the Rock in the Old City of David where the Gihon Springs serviced the Temple purification rites, and that where the Dome of Rock now stands was part of a fort that housed Roman soldiers. This means that the Temple could be rebuilt at any time with out removing the Dome of the Rock. The Orthodox Jews are strongly against this debate, we will see what happens.

INSPIRING TRUE THOUGHTS ABOUT HEAVEN

Heaven is a city without a cemetery .

Heaven is something we can easily get excited about and look forward to.It will be like Christmas is for children, only it will be the greatest Christmas we have ever had!

Heaven and the spirit world are much more real, beautiful, and lasting, then the world you can see with your natural eyes at this very moment.

Heaven is a beautiful place to be, full of beautiful people having a beautiful time.

Heaven is a permanent residence, a place where we unpack our bags, and stay forever. What a glorious thought to wake up in Heaven and realize it is home! Leaving this life is like going from one room to another and closing the door. Death it but a passage from a prison into a palace.

“The things which are seen are temporal;  But the things which are not seen are eternal”. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Your body is not the real you. It is just the physical house you live in.The real you is your spirit which will live on forever.

[In the day of death:] “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”(Ecclesiastes 12:7)

From dust thou art, to dust thou shall return, was not spoken about the Spirit.

Death from this life is just graduation from this grade. It is our release , our graduation, our promotion. School is out!  We have finished our schooling in this grade, and we pass on to the next grade.

Jesus said: “ I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.”( John 11: 25,26)

A solider said; “When I die, do not sound taps over my grave, but reveille- the morning call, the summons to rise.”

Jesus said: “ I go to prepare a place for you.” ( John 14:2). We do not enter the next life as strangers. We are expected and prepared for. We are eagerly desired.

One of the most beautiful verses in the Bible about Heaven is in the 21st Chapter of Revelation, verse 4. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.”

One of the best things about Heaven is that we will be able to reunite with loved ones who have already passed on. It will be the greatest family reunion we have ever known, with our loved ones, relatives, and ancestors all together in one place at one time at last.

There are no “good- byes” in Heaven.

The best thing that you could possibly imagine about what Heaven is like is nothing compared to what it is really like. The best part of Heaven will be seeing Jesus. One glimpse of his dear face all sorrow will erase. Jesus and God our Heavenly Father will not only be living in us in  our hearts but they will be living with us. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

If you want to go to Heaven someday, sincerely pray this simple prayer:

YOUR NEW HEAVENLY BODY

Have you ever wondered what is the difference between your soul and spirit? Well Arnie from Hawaii shared a verse with me which helps answer this question. “The Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.”(Genesis 2:7). So there you have it. Your soul is your body and spirit together. “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”  (Psalm 139:14). When God formed man out of the dust of the ground the body he made was fully formed with organs and everything else, but it was lifeless or dead until God breathed his spirit of life into him and Adam became a living soul. The name Adam, means red, dust, and earth. So the body will perish some day and the spirit goes on to Heaven in the spirit world. If you are saved, you get a new body at the Rapture which will be like Jesus’s body which will join with your spirit and lives on forever. We are going to get a new heavenly body for our spirit to live in, in Heaven. Our new body will never get sick, or tired, or grow old. In fact you will be at a perfect age. For a man it’s in his early twenties, and a woman reaches maturity somewhere around 16 to 20 yrs, (after that it’s a down hill road in this life.) If a baby dies in this life, they go to God’s great nursery in heaven where they grow up in heaven, until they get to that perfect age and then they don’t grow any older forever. There are also no more tears in heaven. You can fly, eat,travel at the speed of thought,walk through a giant pearl gate to get into the Holy City. You will be able to do many of the same things that you can now do in this earthly body, and even more things and better. You won’t need to sleep, or want too, there will be too many exciting things going on.  Some of us will probably need flying lessons for awhile because we might be flying into some walls and other structures, but you won’t get hurt or feel pain. In fact your new body will be like Jesus’s new body. “ Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.” (Philippians 3: 21).God puts the spirit into every baby at the time of conception. Here are some other good verses on this subject. “For the Word of God is quick, and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a descerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”(Hebrews 4:12). “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28). “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”(1 Thessalonians 4:16,17). The people that have already died and were saved at the time of death, their spirits have gone on to Heaven as the Bible tells us.To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:8 ).The people in Heaven are awaiting their new bodies which they will get at the time of the Rapture, and so will all the saved who are still on earth at this time. All this will happen in the twinkling of an eye. “ Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”(1 Corinthians 15:51,52). At the resurrection and the Rapture, the saved dead people’s bodies will be resurrected from the grave and immediately be changed into their new bodies, which will join with their spirit and live in Heaven together forever. “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” (Proverbs 11:30). So keep winning souls for Jesus. That is the most important thing you can do in this life. Winning souls means you are winning people’s spirits who have a living body with an eternal spirit in them to Salvation and Heaven forever, and even though their body will someday perish their spirit will be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus at the Rapture, and they will be forever grateful to the Lord and to you for leading them to the Lord. Wow! what a joy that will be to meet those people in Heaven even if you did not personally win them to Jesus you helped make it possible by your prayers and support to the missionary that witnessed to them and the Lord will let them know. Did you know that the Angels in heaven rejoice every time there is a soul saved? (Luke 15:10). “we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” (II Corinthians 5:8). Even if your body is blown into a zillion pieces, at the Rapture and Resurrection the Lord will gather every little piece together and resurrect your body in a twinkling of and eye, and change it into your new body which will join with your spirit in Heaven, where you will live with Jesus Christ forever.

EZEKIEL 38 AND 39

“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,” (II Thessalonians 2:1-9). The Bible says that before the anti-christ is revealed that there will be a “falling away” first. The falling away is definitely happening now. Many are falling away from the faith, as ungodliness, and evil advances in the world. Now it is time that the anti-christ shall be revealed. This teaching will help us to understand who this anti-christ is. “And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.” (Daniel 8:9,11). These verses are definitely talking about the anti-christ, who is the End Time devil possessed leader of the world, before Jesus Christ returns. (SEE: our class on Daniel Chapter 8).The anti-christ will come out of one of the four divisions of Alexander the Greats Empire. They were Egypt, Assyria, Turkey, and Greece. Russia today is comprised of the ancient Turkey and Assyrian land divisions from Alexander’s Empire. God did not leave his children in the dark for these End Times. He has given us the Books of Daniel and Ezekiel, and many others to let us know what shall be in the End Times. “But thou, O Daniel shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” (Daniel 12:4). This is another reason we know this is The Time of The End. The Book of Daniel has been revealed. ( SEE: our classes on the Book of Daniel). Knowledge has been greatly increased just in the last 100 hundred years. We have come from the horse and buggy to space flight, not to mention from mailing letters to advanced technology communications through computers, etc. God has allowed this to happen mostly for the purpose of getting out the Word to the world, and to fulfill Bible Prophecy. In fact knowledge is increasing so fast that you can hardly keep up with it. Now let us study the Book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel was a Prophet during the captivity of Jerusalem. He was carried away to Babylon in 597 B.C., 11 years before Jerusalem was destroyed in 586 B.C. Daniel was already a captive in Babylon when Ezekiel arrived. Daniel had already been promoted to great fame and status. They probably knew each other well, and also Jeremiah another of God’s Prophets who fortold of the destruction of Jerusalem. “Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:  and I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:  and I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.” (Ezekiel 39:1-4). Gog was the ruler of the land of Magog. Which was named after  Magog a son of Japeth, who was a son of Noah. (Genesis 2:10). Meshech is commonly thought to mean Moscow; or Muscovy, which is an ancient Russian name; or a people called Moschi which is spoken in the Assyrian inscriptions as dwelling in the Caucasus. Tubal is thought to be Tobolsk, on the Southeast shores of The Black Sea. All these peoples and places are from what is known today as the area of Russia. “Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:  and thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,  to take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: and thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them? And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; so that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.” (Ezekiel 38:5-23). These verses are talking about the End Times, or the latter years.  (SEE: verse 8). The anit-christ leader of Russia will invade Israel. (SEE: verse 16). 

“Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: and I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: and I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD. And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD. So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the hand staves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: so that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD. And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog. And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land. And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD. And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward. And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; after that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.  When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.” (Ezekiel 39)

This chapter is talking about The Wrath of God, and The Battle of Armageddon. There will be 1/6th of the anti-christ’s armies left alive after this battle probably  to help clean up the dead bodies of the soldiers which are destroyed at The Battle of Armageddon. They will receive help from the birds of prey to clean up the destruction caused when the armies of Jesus Christ follow Jesus out of Heaven after The Rapture, and The Resurrection, and The Marriage Supper of The Lamb, and the 75 day time period of Daniel Chapter 12. It will take 7 months to bury the dead armies of the anti-christ, and 7 years to clean up the mess. The blood will be as high as the horses bridle, and will flow in the Valley of Meggido for 22.222 miles. (SEE: our class on Revelation 14:17-20). Not one soldier in Jesus Christ’s army will be wounded or killed. The anti-christ army of 200 million soldiers will be decimated. We are living in the  End Times now! The man of sin, or the anti-christ, has been revealed  to us as Gog the leader of Russia. Let me ask you today, who is the land grabber and the leader of Russia? The Scriptures tell us that God will put a hook in his nose and bring him and his armies to the mountains of Israel to be destroyed. If it is not the present leader, then another one just as aggressive, or more will have to take his place. We will know for sure when he confirms the Covenant  which starts the last seven years before The Rapture.

THE SIGN OF THE SON OF MAN

Thirty-five hundred years ago in the book of Job in the Old Testament, (the first book written in the Bible) God gave us two amazing scientific facts in one verse. (Job 26:7) says, “He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.” One scientific fact is that the earth is hung in space upon nothing. History tells us that man did not know this, but what man did believe about the earth was scientifically in error. The Egyptians, for example, believed that the earth was a saucer held up by four pillars with a ring of mountains around the edge to keep the water from running off. The Greeks believed that the earth rested upon the back of Atlas. Because this theory was so popular and widespread, we still see its effects today. For example, when you obtain a book of maps it is called an Atlas. The Hindus believed that the earth was carried on an elephant’s back and that the elephant was standing on a turtle swimming in a cosmic sea. When Columbus discovered America in 1492 A.D. most people believed the world was flat, and that if you went to far you would fall off into oblivion. In Isaiah Chapter 40:22 it says,  “ It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers.” Reading this scripture is said to have given Columbus the faith to launch out on his epic voyage to discover the New World because he believed the Bible where it said that the earth was a circle and not flat. Amazingly the Bible did not include any of these myths and fairy tales, but simply stated that the earth was hung upon nothing. Science cannot give us a better description than this. Here is another amazing scientific fact. There is an empty place or void in the north of our universe. It was first discovered with the 200-inch telescope on Mount Palomar, California, and is now being studied by three separate observatories across the country. Lucifer (Satan) in his rebellion (when he tried to overthrow God) spoke of this void in the north. Isaiah 14:13 tells us, “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the side of the north.” This must refer to this empty corridor in the north where there are no stars. Heaven is thought to be originally from there. One fascinating passage is found in Psalms 48:1-2. “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.” Without a doubt, this is a reference to the New Jerusalem and not to the earthly Jerusalem. “But you are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels (Hebrew 12:22).” When the Bible says, “Beautiful for situation,” as the verse continues to explain, it is a reference to the fact that the city is or, was originally located in the north of our universe. From “the sides of the north” God has a beautiful overview of the entire universe and of the whole earth that He created. The Heavenly City described in the book of Revelations Chapter 22 is on it’s way to earth, where it will be located forever. ( See our class on Revelations Chapters 21 & 22 in the “Bible Prophecy” section of this web site.). It appears from a study of the Scriptures that Heaven is or was located in the North in our universe. When they would offer the sacrifices in the Old Testament they would offer them northward toward the Lord. Notice what Moses said in Leviticus 1:11, “And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before the Lord: and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall sprinkle his blood round about upon the altar.” The implication is clear that the Lord in his Heavenly City was at that time in the north. “Northward before the Lord,” says God’s Word. North is always the same direction from this planet no matter what time of day. If you were to point to the north in the morning, twelve hours later you would still be pointing in the same direction. No matter where the earth is in its orbit about the sun, north is always the same direction in relationship to the earth. So no matter what time of day or what time of year, north is always the same direction. One day this New Jerusalem will come down from Heaven to the new earth according to Revelation 21:1,2. “And I saw a new Heaven and a New Earth; for the first Heaven and the first Earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” The Holy City actually comes down and lands on the New Earth, that God will create, after Jesus has ruled here for a thousand years and the Great White Throne Judgement occurs, and the Lord makes a New Heaven and Earth. In  Matthew Chapter 24: 29-30 Jesus said, “ Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from Heaven, and the powers of the Heavens shall be shaken:” “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth morn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory.” So, when does the sign of the Son of Man appear? From these two verses we can clearly see that the sign of the Son of Man will appear at the rapture, when all the saved are resurrected. Will the sign of the Son of Man be when we see Jesus coming in the clouds of Heaven or will it be the appearing of the Heavenly City, or both?  All the Saved believers in Jesus Christ will be taken up to the Heavenly City for the Marriage Supper of The Lamb. What a great place to have it. You can read about the Heavenly City in our classes in Revelations Chapter 21 & 22. Wouldn’t that be something to see the Heavenly City sitting up there as big as the moon for a 1000 years waiting to come down on the earth? We the saved will be able to travel back and forth to it at the speed of thought just like Philip when he was translated and appeared before the Ethiopian Unick who was reading the Book of Isaiah, about Jesus Christ but did not have a clear understanding of the Scriptures, and Philip explained them to him, and the Ethiopian got Saved..(Acts 8:26-40). Also, “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: “for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”(Hebrews 11:5). Jesus was translated from the heart of the earth where he went and preached to the Spirits in prison when his body was in the tomb under the Shroud. Jesus also walked through walls and appeared and disappeared many times. We saved believers have a home in heaven waiting for us in this Heavenly City, the New Jerusalem. Jesus tells us, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:2,3).

GOD LOVES A MYSTERY

One of the reasons that the Lord loves a mystery is because he wants to see who loves him enough to search and seek out and understand his mysteries that he created for you his children. It is truely like finding buried treasure that God has hidden for you to search and find. “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.”(II Chronicles16:9a).  “And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God : but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: THAT SEEING THEY MAY SEE, AND NOT PERCEIVE; AND HEARING THEY MAY HEAR, AND NOT UNDERSTAND; LEST AT ANY TIME THEY SHOULD BE CONVERTED, AND THEIR SINS SHOULD BE FORGIVEN THEM.”(Mark 4:11&12). What is the mystery of the Kingdom of God ? “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (I Corinthians 15:51&52). “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.“(Revelation 10:7). The word mystery is used 28 times in the New Testament. Look them up and see if you understand each mystery. The Mystery of God will be finished at the Seventh Trumpet. If you understand this then you are truly blessed.“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”(Matthew 5:6). This verse also means Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst to understand the knowledge of God and his mysteries.

Daniel Chapter 2 (image & text)

Verse 1-5) “And in the second year of the reign of Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep break from him. Then the king commanded to call the magicians and the astrologers and the sorcerers and the Chal-de’-ans for to show the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king. And the king said unto them. I have dreamed a dream and my spirit was troubled to know the dream. Then spake the Chal-de’-ans to the king in Syr’-i-ack. O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation. The king answered and said to the Chal-de’-ans. The thing is gone for me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.” The main prophetic chapters that we will study in the Book of Daniel are 2, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12.

Please don’t neglect to read the other chapters as well as they contain inspiring information of Daniels life and faith. Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar ,the King of Babylon sent his army to Jerusalem. In 586 B.C. his armies destroyed the city of Jerusalem and the Jewish temple built by Solomon, because of of God’s judgments as prophesied by Jeremiah the prophet, and Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar’s armies carried back to Babylon prisoners of war. Daniel and his friends were some of these prisoners. Daniel was reading the writings of the Prophet Jeremiah and he came to this passage of Scripture (Jeremiah 25:11) “And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.” So Daniel knew that he would be there a very good while. Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar had a very terrifying dream. He called on his magicians, astrologers, and sorcerers, and some of his top advisers to interpret the dream without telling them what the dream was. This way he would know for sure if their interpretation was true or not. He threatened their lives and their homes if they did not come up with the right dream and interpretation. This was a very hard saying for those people whom Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar assigned this task. He had even forgotten the dream. Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar was a very ruthless king.

Verse 6-35) “But if you shew the dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts and rewards and great honor: therefore shew me the dream, and the interpretation thereof. They answered again and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation of it. The king answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time, because ye see the thing is gone from me. But if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for you: for ye have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be changed: therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can shew me the interpretation thereof. The Chal-de’-ans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king’s matter: therefore there is no king, Lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chalde’- an. And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other they can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh. For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. And the decree went forth that the wise man should be slain: and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain. Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to A’-ri-och the captain of the king’s guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon: He answered and said to A’-ri-och the king’s captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then A’-ri-och made the thing known to Daniel. Then Daniel went in and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation. Then Daniel went to his house and made the thing known to Han-a-ni-ah, Mis’-a-el, Az-a-ri’ah, his companions: That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteh up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my father’s, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter. Therefore Daniel went in unto A’-ri-och, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him: Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation. Then A’-ri-och brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus unto him, I have found a man of the captives of Judah, that will make known unto the king the interpretation. The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Bel-te-shaz’zar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof? Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king; But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these; As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass. But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart. Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay,the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.” Can you imagine how frantic these so-called wise man must have been, they had to come up with the dream, and the interpretation or be cut into pieces. The only wise men were Daniel, and his companions, because they sought the Lord, and the Lord revealed the dream and the interpretation to Daniel. Notice he gave God all the glory and the credit. This is so important to emphasize. We should always give God the credit for everything good that happens in our life.

Verse 36-39) “This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king. Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and have made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.” These verses tell of the great image which Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar dreamed and what each part means, the images head was of gold, this is talking about Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar in Babylon. The next inferior kingdom was the Medes ( they were an inferior empire to Babylon).One night some of the Medes swam under the wall of Babylon where the river ran into the city and managed to open the gates of Babylon and caught Neb-u-chad-nez’-ar’s army by surprise and conquered the city. The Medes then joined forces with the Persians, and became the Medo-Persian Empire. The third kingdom of brass after Babylon and Medo Persia was Greece. These kingdoms ruled the known world of their day including the land of Israel, and the Jews.

Verse 40)  “ And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.” The fourth kingdom to rule the earth and the Jews from Babylon was Rome symbolized by iron to represent strong dictatorial rule, and the two iron legs are symbolic of the East and West Roman Empire, Byzantine and Constantinople.

Verse 41-43) “And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.” The feet and toes of clay and iron that did not mix are symbolic of the different types of governments of man since the Roman empire such as democracies and dictatorships. The iron is symbolic of dictatorships which rule with strong control, and are like iron compared to the clay rule of democracies, and they don’t mix, as clay does not mix with iron. “They mingle themselves with the seed of men” is talking about the many different nationalities living together in the different countries. These are the last governments of man since Rome, before the last government of man, the antichrist’s. The 10 toes are the 10 nations that join with the antichrist in (Revelation Chapter 13). The Book of Daniel and Revelation go together like a puzzle that you must piece together to get a clear understanding, and the full meaning.

Verse 44) “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.” This verse is talking about Jesus Christ coming back and setting up his kingdom forever.

Verse 45) “Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.” The stone cut out of the mountain without hands and that broke in pieces, all the other parts of the image, is symbolic of Jesus Christ taking over all the kingdoms of man.

Verse 46-49) “Then the king Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar fell upon his face, and worshiped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odors unto him. The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldst reveal this secret. Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon. Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Sha’-drach, Me’-shach, and A-bed’-ne-go, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.” Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar realizes that Daniel’s God is the true God, and he makes Daniel a great leader over all of Babylon and gives him much reward, so Daniel and his companions were free to worship God. This is truly an amazing dream, and prophecy predicting the empires of the world from Babylon to Christ, and it proves that God is real, and the Bible is the true word of God. For no man could have predicted the future with such accuracy unless God had spoken to him!

2)Assyria: 1490 B.C. to 606 B.C.

3)Babylon: 606 B.C. to 536 B.C.

4)Medo-Persia: 536 B.C. to 332 B.C.

5)Greece: 331 B.C. to 321 B.C. ( under Alexander The Great)

6) Rome: 146 B.C. to 400 A.D.

7) The Anti-Christ World Empire will be the last world Empire ruled by the devil possessed anti-christ until Jesus Christ comes to rule the world.

Daniel Chapter 7

Verse 1,2) In the first year of Bel- shaz’-zar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the some of the matters. Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. Bel-shaz’-zar was one of the King’s under whom Daniel lived after Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar. This dream and vision that Daniel had, took place around (535 B.C.). This chapter deals with the same empires depicted in Daniel Chapter 2, but in greater detail. The four winds of heaven are talking about spiritual forces behind the scenes. “AND AFTER these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.” (Revelation 7:1). The great sea is talking about the multitudes of people. “And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.” (Revelation 17:15).

Verse 3,4) And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The first was like a lion, and had eagles wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand up on the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. The lion represents Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar. The eagles wings are symbolic of Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar’s great power and pride. “The wings plucked”, and “a man’s heart given to it”, refers to Neb-u-chad-nez’-zar’s humbling, when he went mad and had to live in the wilderness for seven years, and ate grass, after which he was humbled and came back to his right mind, and restored as king.”And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws. And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: and all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.” (Daniel 4:32- 37).

Verse 5) And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. The bear is the Medo-Persian Empire. “Raised up on one side”, is symbolic of the Persians strength over the Medes. “Three ribs in the mouth of it”, are the three previous world empires, which were Egypt, Assyria, and Babylon.”Devour much flesh,” refers to the fact that the Medo Persian Empire had many wars and destroyed many armies conquering the known world of their day including Israel and the Jews.

Verse 6) After this I beheld, and low another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a foul; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. The leopard is the Empire of Greece which conquered the Persians. The leopard is symbolic of speed. Alexander the great, the King of the Empire of Greece conquered the world in only 10 years. The four wings are symbolic of the four directions that the Greek empire was divieded into, and the four heads are the four generals which took over Alexander’s empire when he died, and divided it into four sections, Egypt, Assyria, Turkey, and Greece. The four generals ruled out of these four sections. Remember the book of Revelations goes hand in hand with the book of Daniel. It is also interesting to note how God looks at man’s empires as  ravenous beasts, while men see their empires as great images like God showed Neb-u-chadnez’- ar in his dream in Daniel chapter 2.

Verse 7) After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. The fourth beast is Rome, or the fourth world Empire from Babylon. The iron teeth and breaking in pieces are symbolic of Rome’s strong cruel rule, which was different from all the world empires before it. They were the first to start using crucifixion on a wide scale. The 10 horns are the 10 nations of the end times that join forces with the anti-christ. They are the remains from the Roman Empire. Since Rome fell there is not been another world Empire yet, even though many have tried such as Napoleon and Hitler.

Verse 8) I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. The three horns are three of the last 10 main governments or countries from the Roman Empire, and three of them being plucked up by the roots refer to these three governments being overthrown or subverted, and new rulers established that will cooperate and side with the anti–christ. This could possibly result from an economic crisis, and a moral crisis, such as we see happening today. The little horn that came up is the anti-christ, and the mouth speaking great things is symbolic of the blasphemies that the anti-christ will speak.“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.” (Revelations 13:1-6) “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposes and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” (II Thessalonians 2:3 &4).

Verse 9&10) I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. In these verses the Lord jumps us into the future to the Great White Throne Judgment. See Revelation Chapter 20.

Verse 11) I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. The anti-christ “beast”will be slain by Jesus and his armies at the battle of Armageddon and the anti–christ is destroyed and thrown into the lake of fire, and the devil is bound and chained and cast into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years, after which he is cast into the lake of fire. See Revelation Chapters 19 & 20.

Verse 12) As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time. This verse is referring to Jesus taking away the earthly rule of man. Their lives were prolonged for a time during the millennium which lasts for 1,000 years. There will still be living on the earth many people who were not raptured, which will still be alive after the wrath of God and the battle of Armageddon.

Verse 13&14) I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. These verses are talking about Jesus, when he is made ruler for all eternity, starting at the Millennium after the Battle of Armageddon.

Verse 15&16) I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. Daniel was greatly troubled after having this vision, and he did not understand it.He asked one of the Angels what the vision meant.

Verse 17) These great beasts which are four, are four Kings that shall arise out of the earth. The angel tells Daniel that the four great beasts are four Kings that shall arise. Kings and beasts are used interchangeably in the Scriptures. The four main Kings of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome, are what the angel is speaking of.

Verse 18) But the saints of the most high shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even for ever and ever. This verse is talking about when Jesus rules during the Millennium and he appoints people who were saved and served the Lord as Kings and rulers.

Verse 19&20) Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. Daniel was very troubled about the forth beast with the ten horns and the little horn with eyes (the anti-christ), and the three horns that fell. The brass nails are symbolic of the remains of the Grecian Empire that were used by Rome, such as their culture, government, weapons, tactics of war, etc.

Verse 21) I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; The devil posessed anti-christ will make war on the saved believers and when it looks like he has almost won, then the Rapture occurs and Jesus rescues us.

Verse 22) Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. Jesus is going to let the saints judge the anti-christ forces, and rule and reign with him as our King of Kings.

Verse 23) Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. The fourth kingdom upon earth from Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece was Rome. It was different from all others because they crucified Jesus Christ and they had strong cruel rule. Also they had a form of Democracy in that they had senators.

Verse 24) And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. Kings and horns are the same. The anti-christ will be different because he will be totally posessed by the devil, and subdue or conquer three of the countries and their rulers to form his empire.

Verse 25) And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of times. The anti-christ will blaspheme God, and persecute the saved believers, and kill many of us, and change the calenders to try and keep us from keeping up with the days. A time is one year and a times is 2 years and a half of a time is one half year making three and a half years or 42 months or 1,260 days (in the Hebrew Calendar consisting of twelve 30 day months) of great tribulation and persecution of the believers until the Rapture.

Verse 26) But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. The anti-christ and the false prophet will be thrown into the lake of fire right after the battle of Armageddon.( See our class on Revelations 13).

Verse 27) And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. This begins the 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ on earth.

Verse 28) Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much trouble me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart. Daniel was very troubled in his mind and heart from these terrifying dreams and visions that he had, and didn’t even fully understand them, because they were not for his time.
