“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” (James 4:4).

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” (Ephesians 6:10-18).

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” (2 Timothy 3:12). You are either a Missionary or a Mission Field. Which are you? If they arrested you for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou delivered unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”(Matthew 25:21-23).

“He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.” (John 21:17).

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen

“So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.” ( Luke 14:33).

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8).

“Now the just shall live by faith:” (Hebrew 10:38a). “According to your faith be it unto you.” (Matthew 9:29). ” all things are possible to him that believeth.” (Mark 9:23b).

“Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.”(Acts 5:20).

“And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.”(Acts 5:42).

“being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” (Philippians 1:6).

“and how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,” (Acts 20:20).

“Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:31).

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” ( Philippians 4:19).

“For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.” (Acts 20:27).

“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” (2 Timothy 2:2).

‘No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.” (2 Timothy 2:4-6).

Amen

Should We Forgive and Forget?

Should we forgive and forget? This is a good question. Peter (one of Jesus’s disciples) asked Jesus, “Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” ( Matthew 18:21-22). We should forgive everyone who asks  us too, so we can be forgiven ourselves. Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” ( Matthew 7:1-5).

You don’t have to forgive unless you want to be forgiven. “He that cannot forgive breaks down the bridge that he himself must cross over!” You don’t have to forget unless you want your sins to be forgotten.  To not forgive and forget is like taking in a poison and it can make you physically sick, and can even eventually kill you. It is better off for you personally to forgive and forget. Why carry around such heavy baggage, like a bag of unneeded rocks, or dirty laundry.

The Lord says, He takes away our sins, as far as the East is from the West, and guess what, they never meet. (Psalms 103:12). “and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” (Hebrews 10:17).  The devil is the only one that remembers our sins, so he can remind, and condemn us, and accuse us, God forgives and forgets our sins if we ask him. Are you like the Devil who remembers sins, or like God, and Jesus, and The Holy Spirit who forgives and forgets others sins and your own? They do things a lot different in Heaven than we do here on earth. Somethings we have to work on, like being in a happy good place in Heaven, and earth. In fact you can have a little bit of Heaven right now by forgiving and forgetting. We don’t have to work for our Salvation, thank you Jesus, but we do have to work on our rewards and our relationship with Jesus. So if you forgive and also forget you will be pleasing the Lord and helping yourself ! How deep does your love go?  “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”(Philippians 3:13)

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19).

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.” (Luke 9:23-24).

“And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9:2).

“But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:36-38).

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” (John 15:16).

“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” (John 4:35).

“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” (John 15:8).

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:12-13).

“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” ( John 15:18-19).

“And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.” (Matthew 19:29).

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)  that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.”(Ephesians 6:1-3).

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15).

SAY THIS PRAYER IF YOU WANT TO BE SAVED Dear Jesus Christ, Please come into my Heart, I now accept you as my Savior, The only begotten Son of God ,I Believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead, Please forgive me of all my sins and fill me with the Holy Spirit, AMEN.

This world is not our home. We’re just passing through. The Lord wants us to remember that he is our King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and we belong to his kingdom forever! Jesus’s kingdom is not a physical country yet, but it will be when Jesus comes back to rule and reign for 1000 years upon the earth.( Revelation 21). “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”(Colossians 3:2). Sure, were supposed to stand up for things that are of God, and right, and true, and vote, and let our voices be heard, but ultimately in this world and in this country it gets what it wants and deserves. If Christian believers can’t or won’t get out and vote to change things, then they will get what they deserve ! Someday we each will have to stand before the Lord and give account for ourselves. Jesus said “What is that to thee Follow thou me.”(John 21 :22b). “The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:20b,21 ).Beloved the Lord is saying to us who are unhappy about the events taking place in this country and in this world “See that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”(Matthew 24:6b). Lord help us to let these events in this world make us to see more clearly about where we stand as Christians living in this world temporarily. Stand up for Jesus ye soldiers of the cross. Lift high his royal banner it must not suffer loss ! If you don’t stand for something ,you will fall for anything. Do you know what your church or study group stands for on the issues of Eternal Salvation, the Holy Spirit, Witnessing, Faith and Healing, Pre- or Post Tribulation Rapture? If you don’t know where you stand on these issues, then you need to make up your  mind. You can study about all of these issues in this web site. They are covered quite extensively, and laid out for you on a sliver platter. If you haven’t already dived into these truths, that God has so freely given you, then I can’t understand why not? “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.”  (Revelation 3:15,16). “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lust shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” (II Timothy 4:2-4). Beloved don’t let these verses be said of you! The hardest words for some to say is ” I was wrong”. It must be really hard on some peoples pride to admit that they have been following false doctrine or a false teacher or prophet, especially  if they have been doing it for a long time. Are you noble in the eyes of the Lord? “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11). Or do you blindly just take the word of some man or pastor, like some poor weak sheep do, and get mislead into some false doctrine and lies of the devil. Remember the devil sometimes gives you some truths and then sneaks his poison lies in. Jesus said ; “If the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness.”(Matthew 6:23). “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:” ( II Thessalonians 2: 10,11). Do you contend earnestly for the faith, and for the sheep? “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” (Jude 1:3) Or are you going to let the grievous wolves devour the sheep with their unscriptural lies and false doctrines?  “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.” (Acts 20: 28,29) Jesus warned us many times to beware of false prophets and teachers who will come in the end times and deceive many. “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” (Matthew 24: 24) “If they speak not according to the word it is because there is no light in them.” (Isaiah 8:20). Beloved this is a very serious matter. Be on guard, for the devil as a roaring lion goeth about seeking whom he may devour. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: “ (I Peter 5:8) “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. “ (II Corinthians 11:14). Some of these false teachers look like good old boys or dynamic preachers, don’t be mislead by looks and feelings. The devil can appear to be a real nice and friendly guy, or girl. “He gave them their request but sent leaness to their soul.”(Psalm 106:15 ) What will it take for the devil to buy you out? “And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you.” ( Matthew 24:4).

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.  Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.  But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:  that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.  Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;  that thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” ( Philippians 3:13-14). We need to ask the Lord, “Am I doing The High Calling of God In Christ Jesus?” Jesus tried to tell us about this when he said; “For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.” ( Matthew 26:11). There are many good things you can do, and helping the poor is surely one of them. “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.” (Psalm 41:1). But is this the most important, most needed job, the highest calling of God for you? The highest calling of God is to obey the Great Commission, which is to; “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15). What are you doing to obey this High Calling? Why should anyone hear the Gospel twice when some have never heard it once? Let me spell it out for you. Don’t get caught in the quicksand of the devils side tracks. Get focused! There are many good causes that you can get caught up in. Get behind a true move of God that is truly teaching the Word of God (like www.answersintheword.com) and do all you can to help promote getting the Gospel out to the unreached World while you can !! “He must increase, but I must decrease.” (John 3:30). Don’t settle for a little good when you can do better. You are writing your own paycheck with God.

“Reincarnation,” Can you work your way to Heaven?

Billions of people believe that they can work their way to Heaven, and many people believe that when you die, if you were a good person you can go to Heaven, if you are a bad person you will come back as a roach, or a rat, or some other critter. Well the Bible teaches us that once we die then we stand before God to be judged. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”(Hebrews 9:27). The Bible also says; “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” ( Ephesians 2:8-9). Grace is a gift received at Christ expense. The fact is you can never be good enough to go to Heaven. “not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; ” (Titus 3:5).

True Christianity teaches that God is reaching out to man, through his Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John 1:12). All other religions teach that men and women must reach out to God through their own good works. Jesus loved you so much that he came down to earth to die on the cross for your sins and he rose from the dead. ” that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10). “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6).

Was the leader of your religion born of a virgin, lived a life of love, teaching others to love, forgive and have mercy, and heal the sick, give sight to the blind, and even raised the dead? Jesus Christ did all these things and more. He is knocking on the door of your heart, please let him in.

Amen.

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) (John 7:37-39).

“Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”(Matthew 12:31-32).In the light of all the other verses which teach us that we cannot lose our salvation, this verse can only mean that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is rejection of Jesus Christ, because the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses from ALL sins. (I John 1:7). Also the Holy Spirit leads people to Jesus but does not forgive sins, only Jesus Christ can forgive sins, and save you. “ Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). “Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way the Truth and the Life, No man cometh unto the Father but by me.” (John 14:6).

“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.”(Acts 2:1-5). Pray for the gift of tongues. People can receive the gift of tongues when they get filled with the Holy Ghost, but you don’t have to speak in tongues to be saved. “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[ a fish, will give him a snake instead?Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”(Luke 11:9-13)

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, (Jesus is the Word: John 1:14) and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”(I John 5:7).The Holy Ghost which is also the Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity or the Holy Family of God.

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (John 14:26).

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”(John 16:7-11)

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.”(Joel 2:28-31). As things get worse God will pour out more of his Spirit upon his children to help us until Jesus comes and raptures us off the face of the earth.

And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.”(Daniel 11:33,34). God will give you grace and power for the hour, when you need it. A little help from the Holy Spirit is a lot of help.

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”(I Corinthians 10:13).

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea’-a, and in Sa-ma’-ri-a, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). One of the main reasons the Holy Spirit was poured out is to give people power to witness about Jesus. Also the best evidence that someone has the Holy Ghost is that they are always witnessing about Jesus. Not just speaking in tongues. However Paul said, “I thank God that I speak in tongues more than ye all.”(1 Corinthians 14:18).

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” (Romans 5:5).

“And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and. Lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him.”(Matthew 3:16). The Holy Spirit is also sometimes like a gentle dove that can easily be shewed away if we don’t want to listen or yield.

“And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.”(Acts 5:32). The more we obey God the more of the Holy Ghost we get.

“And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”(Luke 1:35). The Holy Ghost possessed Mary and God himself begat his Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ came from Heaven at this time. We are adopted sons and daughters by receiving Jesus Christ as our Saviour.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:26,27). God and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, were talking and they said; Let US make male & female (Adam & Eve) after OUR likeness, male & female. This verse shows us that there is a male personality and a female personality in the Trinity or the Holy Family, consisting of God the Father, the Holy Spirit the Mother, and the Son Jesus Christ. In Hebrew the word “RUAH” means spirit and was translated into English as the word spirit, and it refers to feminine, and the word Spirit in Greek is “PNEUMA” which can mean either male or female. When the King James Bible was translated from Greek to English in 1611 it was during a time when blasphemers and heretics were burned at the stake. The Scholars who translated the Bible were apparently afraid of saying that the Holy Spirit was feminine so they used the word “he” when referring to the Holy Spirit, instead of saying she as is clearly brought out in Hebrew. Also when Jesus was speaking in Aramaic (the common language of his day) he used a pronoun (PARACLETE) that meant feminine when referring to the Holy Spirit. If it is to much for you to understand and grasp this concept, that the Holy Spirit is feminine then don’t worry too much about it because it doesn’t have anything to do with your salvation, all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ to be saved. Every place in the Bible where it refers to the Holy Spirit as “he”, a better translation would be “she”. If you prefer to believe that there are 3 guys up there running everything then that is up to you. However to me it makes a whole lot more sense to believe that there is a Father, a Son, and a Mother, the Trinity running things. Remember the few verses that refer to the Holy Spirit as “he” probably came about because at the time that the King James Bible was translated into English from the Greek was at a time when Heretics were burned at the stake, and the translators were afraid for their lives, if they said the Holy Spirit was female.

“I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.” (Mark 1:8). When you get saved, it’s like filling up a glass of water to the top, and when you get baptized or filled with the Holy Ghost it’s like pouring water into a full glass and it over flows. When you get saved you get a measure of the Holy Spirit, but when you get baptized in the Holy Ghost you over flow with the Holy Spirit on to others.

“And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:” (John 20:22).

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” (Titus 3:5). You can lose the anointing of the Holy Ghost. King David prayed; “Take not thy Holy Spirit from me.” (Psalm 51:11b). You can also get it back and be renewed and regenerated by the Holy Ghost according to where your heart is at, and your obedience or disobedience. You can’t lose your salvation or Jesus, but you can lose, and regain, and renew the anointing of the Holy Ghost.

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (Acts 2:38). The Holy Ghost is an extra gift you get after you’re saved to help you in your life of following Jesus.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22,23). God’s only law is love when we are yielded to his Spirit. Beloved we need to pray for these gifts of the Spirit.

“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of Man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (II Peter 1:21).

“What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (I Corinthians 6:19).

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.” (Matthew 3:11). Do you have problems or does someone you know have problems? Maybe they just need to be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost? Or maybe you and they just need more of the Holy Spirit. I know I do. I can never get enough of the Holy Spirit!!!

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your Children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” (Luke 11:13). Just ask for the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus and God will send her to you.

“He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.” (Acts 19:2). Some people say that you have to have the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues to be saved, but that’s not true. Here in this verse it clearly shows that some saved believers had not even heard of the Holy Ghost yet.

“Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.” (Acts 8:17).

Amen.
